It looks like they slightly messed up the text saying what goals everyone had. So if anyone else is as confused as I was, here is what it should have said (spoilers, obviously): Jons 3rd goal should be " *The house* must contain exactly 7 objects" Sullys 3rd goal should be "The house must contain *more* wall hangings than each other single type of object"

I keep coming back to watch this. I bought this ages ago and I couldn’t work out why I wasn’t enjoying the game as much as I thought I would. Turns out I had the wrong friends. I wanted to be playing with Jon but instead I was playing with a human computer who played it more like the Turing Machine. I’ve since given the game away, but I’m bummed out I never got to have fun with it first.

Funny thing is that a lot of this game is "check the latest state of the board: does it (a) contradict, (b) satisfy, or (c) have no bearing on your three goals?" Which is funny because there's an AI classifier model called NLI Deberta that does exactly that: given two statements, it will decide whether they contradict, follow from each other, or are unrelated. So using an existing bespoke AI model, you can have a computer play this game consistently 😂

Might want to check Sully's third condition. It doesn't make sense. You have it written as having "four" wall paintings than any other type of object, not "more".

I think it was poorly worded. It should sound like this: The house must have more wall hangings than any other objects (I feel this is the most sensible wording possible). The base wording is nonsensical Edit: if you watch the end then the wording of Sully's third condition was correct so I guess it was a misunderstanding when the objectives were first shown (around 12:15 in the video).

Also, I think they wrote Jon’s third condition wrong. The card says there has to be 7 objects in the house total, but on the screen it says 7 objects must be upstairs. I was so confused why he wasn’t putting anything else upstairs the whole game lol

There are a couple mistakes in the objectives shown before the game starts that made it a bit confusing to follow, mainly one of Jon's since it's impossible as written. I'll post the real conditions here, so DO NOT click below unless you want the spoilers Jon: ✓ The upstairs must contain only antique objects. ✓ Either the upstairs or downstairs must contain two rooms painted the same color. ✓ The HOUSE must contain exactly 7 objects. Laurie: ✓ The house must contain more rooms painted cool colors than warm colors. ✓ The left side of the house must not have any objects identical to those on the right side. ✓ The house must contain all 4 styles. Blair: ✓ The house must contain exactly 1 unusual object. ✓ The bathroom must be painted blue. ✓ Each floor must not contain any objects that are the same color as the wall color of their room. (This one is actually what's printed on the card, and it makes no sense to me why it doesn't just say "The house") Sully: ✓ The kitchen must be painted red. ✓ The house must contain at least 1 room that contains 3 blue objects. ✓ The house must contain MORE wall hangings than each other single type of object.
