I don't feel that Destiny was Over-hyped. I feel like people who didn't get what THEY wanted, EXACTLY how they wanted it are giving the game a bad name. The only loading screens you get in the game are for going between Planets/The Tower. That's it. And for the people who are saying, "it just looks like Halo with MMO", it's Bungie, the creators of Halo. And finally for the people complaining on how it was too short. Have you played the entire game yet?

There is a ton of things you don't get from this video. If you only watched 15 minutes of it, they haven't gotten there supers. Aren't even close to amazing weapons and armor and haven't touched strikes which are amazingly fun challenges with epic music and bosses. And the Pvp is extremely competitive and intense

Hattachi Setoma Oliver Furuseth Realism doesn't matter. Would it be better if no game had double jump? No. The cross hair should be in the middle. It's unnatural for it to be any other way. While walking, I should be able to aim at an enemy's head in the shortest time possible. With it like this, it makes it slower. It doesn't work well. And Oliver, I don't know what you're seeing, but the gun isn't slightly to the right as far as I can tell. It's just further down on the vertical axis.

Don't waste your money on this game guys who are looking to get it. Played 7/8 hours of the story/PvP, got to be honest sadly it's average. The story mode is very boring and repetitive as all it consists of is - go to point a, kill enemies, kill boss, mission complete, it's like that for every mission. The story isn't engaging or interesting like the "The Last Of Us", honestly the cut scenes will bore you to death. The graphics on PS4 is decent, but even Metro Redux has better graphics. The soundtrack is amazing and the grinding is rewarding. PvP is standard with your team deathmatch and free for all but loading times are awful as well as no voice chat or custom/private lobbies. First impressions? Average, not good or bad but average. 6/10. Very early days though...

Max level is 20 with XP, then you start leveling with gear and get "light levels" like my guys 22 because stats on the gear he has, has +8 light or whatever So basically better gear = higher level

Level 20 is the soft cap, after that you rank up through the use of light; right now the hard cap is 30, and I'm sure it'll be raised 5-10 for every DLC.

After playing Destiny since the day it came out, it is NOTHING like Borderlands.. You have a valid point, and don't get me wrong, I love Destiny as well. Also, I agree with your choice of games that are good in all aspects, and would recommend you throw in the Assassin's Creed series as well. If you dont like that series, more power to you, and I respect your opinion.

This game is almost exactly the same on both consoles and if you notice the SLIGHTLY improved graphics on ps4 than good for you. But most people will just enjoy the game so if all the PS4 fanboys would crawl back into their hole that'd be great

This game was far to over hyped for what it is, I mean it's a good game and looks amazing but it's not innovating in anyway, as the gameplay is very similar to borderlands (which I also don't enjoy) and it's also very Halo-Esk. Get mad at me if you want, all you are going to do is make the games community look like Call of Dutys.

Despite the fact I am loving playing this game, I can kind of agree with you. However, your comment " very Halo-Esk" well its developed by the same company and Halo is one of the most well known and successful games there is. That's like saying The Wolf Among Us is too Walking Dead-esk or vice versa.

It's not even close to bein like Borderlands. Other than that it is an fps and the art style, it is nothing like borderlands. What I can tell you though is that this game has the best PvP of all time (next to Halo 2 and 3).

Adam Schloser It is perfectly balanced, even if you have a bad net, it doesn't lag, it's about skill (even if you get shot first you can still win the duel). It's fast paced, but doesn't have bad spawns (even on the small maps). I would say that this is on par with Halo 2 and Halo 3 PvP. It's amazing. I might be saying that becasue I have not gone a single game under 2.0 kd, but even when I go on death streaks, it's fun and it never seems to be the games fault.

Oliver Furuseth No matter how a game is designed, if you have poor bandwidth, you'll lag. Period. Also Halo 2 and Halo 3 were on par with Halo ODST FPS shit tier. The first Halo is the only good Halo, poor comparison. Gongrats on you K/D by the way, kiddo.

On one hand I can't stop playing this game for it's PVP, on the other hand this game is so generic and mediocre. When they showed us the original gameplay videos and talked about it I thought it'll be more like Defience, but instead we got Borderlands only without the humor, less of the fun, and almost as many loading screens. The story is short and isn't that great, the maps are empty and give almost no reason to come back to them other the occational bounties, and any none special weapon other then Auto Rifles is absolutely pointless in both PVE and PVP (not to mention that all guns of the same tier, I.E pulse rifles, auto rilfes, shotguns etc, look pretty much the same but with different colors). Buying new ships is worthless and expensive considering you do nothing with them, and other players see your ship only during loading screens. This is also one of these games who, for some reason, has this stupid thing where the picture of the gear looks nothing like what it is when you're wearing it, which I seriously don't understand considering how there's barely any veriety in the gear and it looks the same on everyone. It couldn't have been that hard couldn't it? When I play it I ask my self, what went wrong. It feels like almost every single feature this game tried to present is incomplete, and that the entire game is so empty. It couldn't have been hard to go with the usual MMO route of making more maps with new enemies but similar grinding quests right? It might have been generic but at least there would be more content. It feels like they wanted to make a game based mainly on preparing for PVP then getting to PVP, but then gave up considering that even the PVP is so lacking. I still play it and I enjoy it, but as it stands if you don't have friends to play with or you less then love both Halo and Borderlands, you won't find enough in this game to keep you entertained.

***** The "core motive" is to level up, finish bounties/missions/co ops etc. to obtain better equipment & weapons. Some are whining because there's not enough levels & that it tops out at 20... at 20 you only just start unlocking new vendors, then you need lvl2 in the appropriate guilds for legendary weapons, then you need to collect the associated points to purchase the legendary gear... I've been playing for 4 days & I've only just unlocked lvl2 in Scout vendor.

Things to do in Destiny idea: Lunar racing! I bet everyone has thought of this, but me and my friends had SO MUCH FUN racing around on our Sparrows, we did a whole circle around the map, and it's a great map for this kinda thing, better than any other planet or satellite (we did it on patrol)!
