In Part 1 we run through Normal difficulty of Diablo and get to level 25 so we can move onto Nightmare without any experience difficulties.

14:20 Levels 2-17: +Teeth, +Vitality is basically the early game strategy, while at some point getting 25 Strength for 12 potion belt 14:23 Hang onto chipped gems. Use them to re-roll wands later. Teeth does not shotgun; only one teeth hit per enemy (1 mob cannot be hit by more than 1 teeth) 33:32 Optional: Clay Golem. Corpse Explosion at 15 mana is not worth it this early on. In Diablo 1, it's the opposite. Until level 9 or so, you are basically one step away from being instakilled :D Then you start to gain traction... until you reach Hell/Hell, and get your ass handed to you, if you aren't optimized.

@@VortechBand Atmosphere in Diablo 1 is the Ultimate King - you have to watch your every step. Diablo 2 is an amazing Diablo experience too but more relaxed in my opinion. Both games are Legends.

I miss the days when you could have 20 melee skellies on screen as well as your other minions. My big issue with summoner necro though is all the tight corridors like the maggot lair and what not.

@@Golden2Talon No. They nerfed that back in D2's hayday because back when everyone had potato PCs, having that many minions on screen would crash a lot of people games or just lag the hell out of multiplayer sessions.

@@SomethingScotty I wouldn't call it a nerf though. My first character back when D2 came out was a summoner, and sure, you'd get one skeleton per point, but by act 3 all 20 would collapse under a stiff breeze. I much prefer the fewer, non-useless skellies we have now.

Hey MrLlama, I am currently working on a mod for D2 I think you will really enjoy! The goal is to add way more tactical depth to the game, for example by making positioning even more important. This in done by giving players a flanking bonus, making attacks from the side or rear do more damage. Your necro, for example, could greatly benefit from this, giving your bone spear increased penetration from behind, allowing you to really pound dudes with maximum efficiency! I think you will love it!

About the number of viewers with notbell enabled, I would say it is not about the quality of the channel, but about the average profile of the viewers. Gamers, especially who play games so complex as Diablo, don't need to be reminded of what they want to know. Who else played back in the day, soloing through with characters trying to figure out the good builds? My friends and I stalled out in Nightmare and Act1 Hell so much. Grinding through and killing every trash mob, it would take 10s of hours per character. We were trying to cube up runes for high runes, had no idea about drop rates, just living unaware of the depth of the game. Then we started playing online for real and slowly started learned and looking things up. But still, coming from a world of Mario and Donkey Kong Country we didn't have the metal framework to "get good" at this kind of game. It wasn't really until college when I came across the Smash Bros community that "getting good" and learning games started to click. Then fast forward to the speed running era and llamas videos it felt like Dibalo 2 suddenly had its secrets unlocked and became a while new game. I lost my install on a PC upgrade a few years ago and I'm now coming back to get my solo account built up with pluggy. It feels like magic!

Hey Llama love the videos. Wanted to leave a message for anyone else who might run into this issue following this guide if you run into trouble finding a normal bone spear bone wand. I ended up having to do a little extra farming and hit the start of Act 3 at level 20. Because I was level 20 I could not do the shopping in Act 3, because once you are level 20 in Act 3 vendors sell gear at ilvl 25, which no longer can be normal rarity. Instead I did my shopping at Drognan in Act 2, who can sell normal bone wands with bone spear. To make the shopping easier, I took my singeplayer game into LAN mode to reset my maps to one where the exit to Lut Gholein was next to Drognan so that it is much quicker getting in and out of town to reset the vendor.

Didn't know that about how teeth works with cursor placement. Nice. I'm currently at hell act 4 doing Mephisto runs with my Javazon. I got lucky with a really nice durance map, nice and close to the waypoint to get to level 3. Now hoping for some good drops; I got a wizspike, but not useful for my character. Started doing planks or curls after some runs to get some exercise in too. Liked that system yesterday and hope to keep it going. Weather is good enough to get out and skate today, so think I'll do that; save the D2 runs for later or snow days. Will probably have far too many of those coming up. Also got a level 2 tele charge ammy; was thinking about using wizspike and the amulet for teleporting, but don't want to take the hit to my resistances (all res 13 22 percent mf ammy, was stoked on that drop).

From Top left to Bottom Right the tombs are Circle, Smiley, Square, Star, Double V, Triangle, Circle with Smiley..... the correct symbol is ALWAYS is the missing floating symbol by summoner.

Just a warning. If you want to do the strategy at 1:58:00 you need to be under level 20 by act 3, or you will not be able to find white/grey wands in the shop

Some Revives just meander around and don’t actively fight the way I think they should. I no longer use Revives. They increased the skel mages damages and I said yahooo. You need to put a few points in summon resist. A merc with BOTD and you are kicking!!! Decrpify is a nifty curse. I like to use Terror to make monsters run away from the portal in Throne of Destruction. Especially those Burning Souls. Those get on everyone’s nerves. Hard to believe I was playing this game 20 years ago. I still have fun playing this game. Loose track of time and all of a sudden it is 5 o’clock in the morning. What good memories. I don’t take them for granted anymore.

Corpse explosion is what makes arcane sanctuary and maggot lair doable as a summon Necro. It’s so overpowered to pop CE once or twice and watch everything melt and let the skeles finish everything off.

totally agree about PoE, I have over 600 hours and as much as I love the game, it really does take essentially having a college degree in PoE in order to play it at a competent level, atleast in the endgame/mapping (which is arguably where the game starts). But ya if you're just gonna play through the acts and do basic white maps then you can get by without engaging in many of the systems, following any sort of build, or really understanding what all the different stats and multipliers ACTUALLY do.. but if you're planning to play past that point and play leagues and stuff it gets very complicated very quickly, and that's not even bringing crafting into the mix, that's a whole other kettle of fish. The other major "quirk" the game has is how unforgiving it is for people who want to experiment and find their own builds and play styles, it could very much benefit from 1 or 2 free COMPLETE respecs given to you over the course of the acts (maybe one when you face Kitava for the first time and another after reaching maps) along with the handful of respec points they give you over the course of the acts via books of skill/regret, anyone trying to tell you it isn't a complicated/complex game is just being intellectually dishonest or not looking at the game objectively.

I love PoE with all my heart, but I find it so difficult to explain everything to my friends who want to get in to it. Like you are saying, there are too many subsystems to memorize and explain. Also things like "Well... increased damage over time is bad - don't go for that... However damage over time multiplier is really good! Yaay!". I hope PoE 2 scales down some of the league content at the very least. About 10 leagues ago PoE was the best game on the planet (while still buggy with desync and what not).

I honestly think summon necro may be best for ubers. Set up for it is just TP charges + Urdar from hell river, they'll crushing blow the heck out of a boss and borderline insta pop it.
