You'd think after running into 4 traps in a row in a single cave, most explorers would be like 'Hmm, maybe we should try a different cave'. Absolutely hilarious episode, the masturbation commentary truly did improve the experience, really made me feel like I was playing with a bunch of friends. I think that's what makes BGC so special and enjoyable, it is just a bunch of friends playing some board games, speaking whatever comes to mind, nothing overly produced or artificial feeling.

I love this game. I still have the old Incan Gold from Gryphon Games (same game as Diamant, different publisher) and it still hits the table. Not only is Diamant very easy to teach, it doesn't take long to start feeling tense and get players involved. The game shows its magic quickly and it doesn't let up until the game is over.

@@asliceofjackie91 its the 2016 Iello Version (French BG publisher). Basically a re-make of the original 2002 Schmidt Spiele "Diamant" that had the better (IMO) components. They also incorporated the "artifacts" that Incan Gold introduced. The Iello version is the best of both worlds. Best components (Diamant) and best rules (Incan Gold).

Actually, did they remove (one copy of) the trap card that got triggered each round? Together with relics increasing in value, that's how you get future rounds to be just _slightly_ less dangerous and gives room for a comeback (if you see the spider that already got triggered it's 50% less likely after all, down to 0 even if they've been triggered twice) EDIT: ah there we are in game 2

This game is a belter, such a brilliant laugh when played with the right group. Played the online version over Lockdown at least 1,000 times, and this wonderfully shows the tension and silliness that a fun shared experience (not wanking) can bring. I always ran away when a snake appeared, and we always played the Indiana Jones music once one person was left.

For those wondering, accounting for the fact that the deck contains 15 gem cards, 15 traps, and 5 relics to start Game 2, and the 3rd spider card along with one other trap card (and 1 relic) had been removed from the game by the start of Round 4, the odds of flipping the 2 remaining spider cards consecutively to begin Round 4 was 1/496 (0.202%). Then, once a third trap card had been removed from the deck, reducing the trap population to 12 out of 31, the chances of flipping 5 consecutive trap cards to begin Round 5 was roughly 1/215 (0.466%). And those two things happened consecutively to prevent anyone from chipping into Rosie's narrow lead. Hilarious! A very silly and light--but FUN--game.

Current 2023 BGC statistics, manually typed and summarized because KZbin is dumb and won't let me link to my Google Sheet: - Adam is now at a 50% win/loss ratio, with 3 wins and 3 losses. This is tied with Holly's ratio, who has 1 win and 1 loss, and Brooke's ratio, who has 2 wins and 2 losses. - Miraculously, 50% is technically the highest scores so far for any player this year! And Adam's 3 wins are the most of any player so far as well! - Tom and Tilly technically are tied for lowest success rate, having not won a single game yet, but they've also only played one game each so far. - Of the players who have played multiple games, Sullivan has the lowest success rate at about 17% (1 win against 5 losses). - The Brave Boys Club, if taken collectively, have won 6 games out of 15 man-games, giving them an overall success rate of 40%. - I didn't count the number of masturbation references in this video, but "I'll be in my tent" is now synonymous in my brain with "I'll be in my bunk". I'm guessing the rest of the crew is just trying to make the Lord of the Board crown so sticky Brooke won't want to wear it anymore; it's a messy political tactic indeed!

Im a programmer watching this and all I could think was they're doing Modulus every time they have to split up the rubies amongst themselves. Modulus is a bit complicated in theory but in practice, like shown in the video it's quite easy to grasp. The divisible number is the amount of people still in the cave, the modulus number is the possible amount of gems, and the remainder, if any, is what goes on the card. I just love to see that application of math in games like this.

@@11th-lemon There are private chats in Blood on the Clocktower, and there are player elimination too. But I do agree, it wouldn't fit in a charity stream format. There must be some editing for it to be understandable just like BoC. Worse, I bet Diplomacy would take much longer. Even if the game lasts until 1910, that means the game would take 10×5×(however long one round lasts) minutes which is more than 4 hours for 5 minute rounds, and I would imagine the rounds would take more than that considering the dialogues that need to be filmed. So, I don't think we will ever get a diplomacy let's play, simply because it's too much work for too little return. Although, a man can dream, can't he? xd

when everyone thought Brooke said Ms. J, i immediately thought of SCP-5094, "Ms. J's Whizz Kid's Schoolhouse", a learning program inhabited by a sentient entity known as Ms. J for each collect instance, but individually, is any name starting with the letter J, such as Ms. Joy, Ms. Jenny, and Ms. Joahn. her memories are collective in each instance, so she remembers her students even from different copies of the program. all she wants is to teach kids, and somehow, she able to perfectly teach anyone, no matter how bad at learning they are, anything. And i mean anything. want a 10 to know college level knowledge on cat's biology and behavior? easy. just 3 days and they'll know everything they could possibly need to know. one of the best SCPs in my opinion, not just cuz its done really well, but also because its one of few SCPs that isnt centered on horror, or have some deadly drawback. other examples would be 999 and 500.
