I may be a bit late and maybe you already know but in your character menu with the abiities there is a button above the portrait called "info" that expands on each of the skills more than just the description. Also if it's not too late already there is a very interesting dialogue option with Joyce that opens up when you have the thought "Jamais Vu (Derealization)"(You might be able to access it even without it.) that is not necessary to finish the game, but is very lore deep and context important.

Ah, I see. Thank you for telling me, unfortunately I have already recorded and edited the final part of this let's play. I might return to thsi game on my own though, seems like it might be worth at least a second playthrough, if not a third and a fourth.
