On the one hand, I'm pretty sure that Shen is one of the few people to ever leave the whirling in rags and head straight to the body, but on the other hand, it's very hard to not immediately get sucked into Plaisance and the whole doomed commercial area quest line. I feel it's such a great introduction to the depth and breadth of the World building and culture of the game.

I'm kinda annoyed that's seen as a dig from the other characters. It would be nice to have two options, where one is actually progressive and supportive. The only option there is obviously a creepy/old fashioned thing to say which sucks if you're playing a very progressive Harrier. 😂

It's true, this game has some of the best voice acting, and in particular some of the best va direction, of any video game ever made. Not only do all of the characters belong in the game so well and fit so perfectly, but each character feels believable and natural. Sometimes you play a game and the voices are good, but you can tell that it's a voice actor doing a voice. In this game especially, it genuinely feels like each character is just their character being a person living in the world.

I am impressed how different the lines are though. Succeeding the check sounds sort of poetic to me. If I heard it I would not be thinking it was an attempt at seduction, rather someone lamenting that despite being at the end of their rope they feel desire. Then the failure is "I want to have fuck with you."

Woman as a human instead of a woman as an object of sexual desire Peak women in videogames: the Disco Dancer, the Net Picker, the Representative, the 8th Hardie and even the minor ones like the Gardener and the Pale Driver. All of them feel like actual women, with their own story and volition
