Tip for people: in Russia those eastern territories are terrible, there are some other areas like them in the game. When you start/take them, exempt them from taxes. This will increase their population growth, which gives extra towns, which starts to make them profitable asap.

@ 23:20 Russian militia. If you click on abilities I'm pretty sure the Russian militia get the garrison policing bonus. It gives a bonus to the order they give when garrisoning a town. For anyone interested.

In regards to maratha and mughals. I find that the mughals win more often than not in my campaigns. It seems to be that maratha wins around 1/4 of the time. I did a lot of restarts on my GB campaign because I wanted to have the maratha stay alive, and after about 10 or so restarts the maratha survived around twice.

Poland-Lithuania and Austria I found to be fun, so those would be good to play at some point.

do remember though your a tax based economy as Russia: wiki.totalwar.com/w/DarkSideHome%27s_Economy_Guide_to_Empire:_Total_War_(ETW_community_guide) so getting that up and running is probably better as a primary source of income. Edit: you already mentioned it

No problem! I know it probably created quite a discontinuity, but this Russia campaign has been pretty fun so far so hopefully it makes up for it :P

@TheRiflemanUK I read on the darthmod thread on total war center that it's actually best to play on world domination because of the way the AI behaves on that setting

Could well be the case! Trouble is though it can sometimes make the campaign easier when it comes to objectives. Rather than just take any 40 regions, I have to take specific ones see. Like France, I could slog it out in the Americas but to complete my objectives I need to land in India and make ground in that theatre too. Funnily enough, it's in my Mexico campaign that i've seen the most changes in AI behaviour!

St. Petersburg has always been Russian,it has never been captured by the enemy,but in this game it is for many years, for some reason in Sweden. Always hated it.

I've got a (new completed) Prussian campaign on the channel ;) I'm keeping hold of the save game file, who knows, maybe in the future I'll want to do world domination and don't want to start from scratch!
