Hey Daggerwin the correct mixing ratio is 2 grass bails 1 straw bail and fill up the rest with silage

Hey there Daggerwin! -This mixer has a capacity of 18000 liters, the bales are 4000 liters big, each of them. So to achieve a perfect mixed rotation, you need to put in the mixer 1 hay bale, 1 straw bale and 1 silage bale. That way you will use up 12000 liters of the available 18000. But you can't slice the bales up, to fill up the remaining space, so I don't really know why Giants made this mixer so big? Maybe it's the same in real life. But that is the only way you can achieve a perfect 33.3% hay+straw+silage mixed rotation. -The mix that you did was 44,4% hay+44,4% silage+11,1% straw (8000l+8000l+2000l=18000l) and 2000l of straw was even wasted, as it didn't even fit into the mixer. That's why you was shown the unusual icon for the type of "fruit" you had in the mixer. It wasn't a perfect mixed rotation. Just some kind of food for the cows, but you won't reach 100% productivity with this.

hi Daggerwin. I am a dairy farmers son and we put silage as grass silage and whole crop and you only put straw in if you want to feed the cows some fibre but the silage bales we feed to the fat cattle then silage from the clamp to the milkers. so if you want to play realistically that is the way

I double checked and when I put one bale of grass and one of silage in the mixer, the inspector mod showed it as mixed ration. Not sure if this map does something different but you get a different icon after adding the straw compared to me (Bjornholm)

Get the placable mixing station mod. You don't need too use bales or work out the percentage, just dump and mix.

hi daggerwin, i was playing Sandy Bay map and nearly had 30 hrs on it. i went to play it yesterday and all my equipment, bales, grains, sugarbeats, potatoes were gone and all my silage 600000 ltrs of the stuff. all my fields where harvested. i could have cried. :) so i have to start again. lol

Dagger win you d not need to buy a bale shredder because the mixer wagon does it all for you if you put only straw into it. Also really enjoyed the video as I always do. XD

ok I think the new version has bugs I get fps drops all over the map and I have a very good set up with a gtx970 gpu and I only play on high settings and I still get fps drops

to get more money cut all your grass fields with the big m while u have it rented. Leave it in swath mode nd bale them all. sell the bales at the bga. that's what I did on Coldbrough with the big m and machale fusion

Well we add barley straw to our silage for the cows, so it's not unrealistic or whatever to have straw in the cow feed

When do use a plough instead of a cultivator?

you plough first to bury the trash (stalks etc.) then you use cultivator to even up the ground for the seed drill to re-plant

You should have took the fastrack with the autostacker to collect those straw bales. Would have been much quicker and easier. Also, that mix for Total mixed ration was completely wrong. You put way too much silage in there. I would have just put one of each bale type, and that would make perfect mixed ration.
