Dang I could barely fit the title in. First off, we unlocked Hokusai's Trial Quest which is not only really long but a lot of story explaining her, which honestly was sorely needed. After that, we do the Challenge Quest to fight her and Bakin at the same time. Will we need a revive, or is it a one and done??

Hokusai trial quest and Salem are indirectly connected. I think what happened with Abby is what allowed outer beings to look for vessels. For example, Hokusai.

Yeah this Trial Quest directly follows up on Salem's plot, showing how and why Carter/Lovecraft had been possessed by Demon Pillar Raum as well as more carefully explaining how Foreigners function

Oh god Suzuka Gozen Dialogue, I can handle Okki dialogue because she’s cute and is already cringe, but Suzuka feels like there’s out of touch old fungus looking man over her shoulder telling her what to say.

The thing about the Outer Gods is that they're "real" in that they exist and are actual entities, but they're not real as in they do not exist in the Type Moon universe. That's largely why they cannot actually manifest themselves completely in the TMverse and must act through proxies to first "prove" they exist, thereby becoming "real" and having a direct line of access. If everything in Type Moon comes from Akasha, then the outer gods are something that do not come from Akasha, which makes sense because Nasu isn't the one who came up with them, so they are literally "Foreigners".
