Let's Play Fate/Samurai Remnant Episode 37 - The Battlefield Is for the Dead

At this point in the retelling of Fate/Samurai Remnant, Miyamoto Iori and Saber were traveling to determine where Assassin's Master resided. As they did so they encountered Dorothea along the way, but what was she doing there? At the same time as the pair began their coastal exploration, Zheng Chenggong and his servant Archer had begun their own explanation and spoke of running into resistance. In today's episode these events are shown and explored.
Also whenever we talk about Dynasty Warriors 6 I think I actually meant 8. It's hard to remember how many dang games there are in that franchise.

From what I remember, the Dynasty Warriors meme fire attack man is Zhu Ran, who is a later general of Zhou Yu's faction of Wu. Zhou Yu tends to die early enough in the storylines that he doesn't have the opportunity to become a recurring annoyance/joke. Liu Bei, on the other hand... (I immensely enjoyed that tangent, even if I think you may have bought into the lionization of Guan Yu and Zhang Fei a bit, who could also be proud, stubborn assholes)

32:33 I'm pretty sure this is the only scene that brings up a "Lord Masanori". Seeing as it's Inaba Clan Retainer talking, they probably mean Inaba Masanori. From what I can I find, Masanori was favorable to Dutch, especially after Caspar Schamberger (a German-born physician with the Dutch delegation) managed to cure him of his gout in 1650/1651, something that people trained in Chinese medicine failed to do. As for what are his plans with Dorothea and who "his first choice" is, I have no idea. Though if I had to guess, "his first choice" is either Yui Shousetsu or Tsuchimikado Yasuhiro, since they are the the ones with known or implied shogunate backing. ...Could be Zheng too, I guess, but his patron is specifically somebody else, Tokugawa Yorinobu. This actually has an easy to find historical precedent (or at least Japanese Wikipedia mentions it on Yorinobu's page). When Zheng entreated the shogunate for military aid, Yorinobu was in favor of granting him that. I don't know if this is true or an exaggeration, but apparently he wanted to lead Japanese forces against Qing himself. He was said to have a warlord's mentality. In any case, the shogunate didn't grant military aid. F/SR uses this historical relationship and Yorinobu being not aligned with general shogunate policies as the background for him informing Zheng Chenggong of Waxing Moon Ritual.

Georges Méliès is the film director you were thinking of, and the biggest clue to their identity is their Noble Phantasm, which is essentially a recreation of their film, A Trip to the Moon. That and their hatred for Edison, who would steal films and distribute them in America under their own company

Randolph carter shows up by name a few times in lovecraft related manners in Fate grand order. Stretch Armstrong would be a berserker but along the type of a swimsuit sparticus. Be wary if you look up fate sparticus.
