I mean, Ghost of Tsushima is one of the best games I've played in terms of side stuff. Not only do sidequests add SO MUCH good story, but so many extra activities (hot springs, fox shrines, bamboo stands, etc.) are short, satisfying and they actually give you useful stuff instead of just being "collect all 2040 to 100% the game" sort of things.

I don't think anyone took the digital deluxe horse. Edit: Johnny the foxes will be right near the shrine, usually maybe 10 feet away or so, after you finish praying. Not every shrine will have a petable fox as some are in tight quarters. That one would have been straight up from where the shrine was.

I cannot overstate how pleased I am this was the next choice. One of my absolute favourite games of the last 10 years! Johnny you are an absolute delight to watch and listen to. Your sense of humour gets me every time and I really hope you love this game as much as I have!

I JUST started replaying this myself and now I get to see Johnny experience it for the first time, I'm so excited~ Looking forward to seeing what you think of Jin's character arc and the whole theme of honour in the story as they get fleshed out. Also, I chose the exact same horse and the exact same name on my first playthrough : D Decided to go for the black horse this time, just for a change and I kind of miss my original Nobu, so it's extra nice to see him here.

This game is phenomenal. I will say that I didn't consider for a second playing it with the English dub, Japanese dub with English subtitles all the way. In terms of the content, the opening lays out a philosophy, and then the rest of the game interrogates it. It's really, REALLY well written

My main issue with the Japanese dubbing is that the character mouth movements are clearly made for the English original audio - not much that can be done about that but it was sometimes distracting to me That being said the Japanese cast had some absolutely amazing talent

I loved this game but as an Asian person (but not Japanese) I agree they laid the "honor" thing on thick. It fits the story and is explored reasonably well, but it doesn't feel Asian. "Honor" as we associate it with Asian media is a very Western concept; it's closer to medieval knights and whatnot than anything Asian. I can't speak for all of Asia, but where I'm from "honor" is probably more accurately translated as "face".

Roast pig and roast human really do smell similar. I’m tempted to not justify that statement, but guess I really should. My brother had been underneath his vehicle, repairing something, when a high voltage powerline fell on it. He survived, but had lightly roasted buttocks.

Yet another banger picked by the community. I loved this game. I feel it got a bit of unfair criticism upon release, that it didn't do anything new. But it told a great story in a beautiful way. What more do people want?

Anyone else have Miracle Max in their head after the opening battle? "There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive." The auto gen CC keeps changing Kaneda to Canada, and I'm pretty sure that isn't where this game takes place, at least none of the accents match up... Anywho, I'm excited for the this digital deluxe season. This may be yet another game that Johnny sells me on, but then again they have good taste.

I always want to play this game in Japanese dub, but I find it quite annoying when I change it to Japanese dub, the lips movement is still in English when you change it to Japanese, so in the end, I finished the game in English

As far as this code of honor, one thing that's important to note is that is pretty much exclusive to his family at this time. It's not any sort of established codified Bushido as much as that even existed in the first place. It's just how his family has done things, and part of the journey of the game is overcoming that if you want to

Speaking to Johnny’s SungWon comment: I actually do remember a little backlash because this game fueled Japans’s far right who idolize the fictional depiction samurai and the “old ways” in a similar vein to the American right wingers who idolize the Vikings for some reason. Still a great game tho
