Yup. They were in the same patch of sky, and there were TWO explosions. It's just that the first one was actually the missile, not the second chopper.

Jirka Doležel well they didn't get hit by the chopper... it was forced perspective. The chopper went in front of them and exploded not into them

If Ryan's rocket was what caused the helicopter to explode, then even that explosion is considered friendly fire and it wouldn't have any affect on Gavin's helicopter. It's a strange mechanic, but I guess it works lol.

So on the last heist, after leaving the bank and getting the motorcycles, there is an armored police truck that can be stolen. If you take that and go up the WESTERN highway (the side with Vespucci beach and ferries wheel) up to the bridge where the boat is, you can get out of the truck and swim across the river into the boat and finish the heist. We did it and can verify this strategy works, so you don't need to die on the motorcycles. Also if this comment gets likes maybe they will see this and use this strategy to successfully complete the heist.

Tristan Macke If you die the challenge resets, no matter if it's suicide. I got the whole 1.25 in the finale running alone to the bikes. You need to blow them up, then make another player (not the money carrier) leave the bank WITHOUT taking checkpoints, therefore failing. Once you respawn at the bikes, everyone rides one to the cruiser parked near the Lagunas apartment, WITHOUT making a single shot only 2 cops will shoot you (the ones at the first checkpoint after that), so every cop car will just try to push you out of the way, but without shooting you at all.

If you go straight to the dingy there will be cops, but with vests there is no major issue. Just player preferences.

I just tested the swat van mode and you do not even have to blow the bikes. shooting civilians spawns a swat van. The spawn is on the long stretch of road with the ramp near the bike spawn FYI

It's easier if someone has a flat next to the where the bikes are and just uses an armored Kuruma.

Man most of the comment section is filled with people sticking up with Ryan's decision with the bum cheese. He was right to do it since his camera angle and even how it was showing made it look like the mission was doomed. Had he been in the position where Michael was, then the chance of him bum cheesing would of been lower than what he saw. Edit: I also love that despite the chaos of the explosion, he did not waste time bum cheesing. The other three were too shocked of what was happening.

Ryan's call to BC was not only a good one to make from his POV, how quickly he did it was impressive. Can't fault him for not saying "Bumcheese" before or while pulling it either, sometimes action comes faster than anything else.

I'm not saying you can be a hero playing video games, but Ryan was totally ready to act like a hero. Real heroes act to save the day as soon as possible and don't second guess. Also admittedly Ryan is the least likely to say the words Bum Cheese when it comes up as he's bad at words under pressure. So he definitely did the right thing. Hindsight is 20/20 but better than them dying and not doing it in time.

I like how Ryan and everyone keeps trying to justify him pulling the power cable when he did, like. The rest of the guys also agreed that he made a good call from what he saw, they're more annoyed that he didn't yell bumcheese as he went. Especially since whenever the others are in trouble, Ryan's always the one who repeatedly yells "IS IT BUMCHEESE?" at full volume. The one time he would have been justified in yelling it, he just silently pulled the cord lmao

I'm saying this early cuz why not: for pacific standard, look up the armored car method. it is the safest way to do it. it basically entails getting into the police armored riot van at the first motorcycle jump on the yellow route. you then follow the western highway DIRECTLY TO THE DINGHY. it is a garenteed success. Like so AH sees and uses (unless they already recorded the Pac Stan heist).

just so the guys know there's a short cut to the warehouse when you're coming from that highway it really helps out especially in timed setup missions. when you get on the highway go to the wrong side of traffic and right where the normal exit ramp is there's a gap you can easily get through on the left that leads directly to the warehouse. this way you don't have to drive around at all. pause the video at 53:43 and all the way on the left side of the screen is the shortcut gap i'm talking about.

TheScinja I've done every setup/finale on hard, without vests and without dying, the thing with that setup is people not using inventory armor/snacks, and sometimes people shooting like crazy in the gas station without blowing it up beforehand, which might be a suicidal thing.

Even after ~3 years or so I agree that Ryan's BC was 100% justified. I thought they died too. Also I always wear that heist armor and bulletproof helmet online and when I go from my garage to apartment or vice versa or from outside to apartment or vice versa my helmet is off after it loads. No idea why.

I'm pretty sure Ryan's rocket is what saved the lads. It looks like it hits the other chopper right before impact, and the other chopper explodes and breaks apart right before hitting them. The lads' chopper still gets some of the blast, most likely, but without the mid-air collision, they were able to survive.

That was a smart call by Ryan on the Bumcheese, it looked like both choppers blew up and nobody else was really prepared/on edge enough to pull a BC. Worst case scenario they have to do the same easy heist set-up again.
