How could anyone hate Yugoslavia. We were really good, up until we decided to all kill each other for some reason. Well it was a bit more complicated than that, but the ending is the same.

"There's too many ethnicities in the Austro-Hungarian empire, let's split it up into more countries... Except let's add all these small ones on the Balkans together plus Albania and Montenegro even though they were independent before the war"
@Wustenfuchs1097 жыл бұрын
Huh? Albania was never a part of Yugoslavia, monarchist or socialist. Montenegro and State of Serbs Croats and Slovenes decided to join Kingdom of Serbia in 1918 and then the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes was formed. In Montenegro there was a small civil war (Italians and those against unification on one side, USA, UK, France and those for unification on the other side), folks that won voted to join with Serbia. In former Austo-Hungarian lands a state was proclaimed (Lasted from October 29th to December 1st 1918) and its People's Assembly voted to join Serbia as well, because Italians were taking parts of Adriatic coast, Austrians were fighting for northern Slovenia in Maribor and Hungarians were invading Slovenia and Croatia. The Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes became Kingdom of Yugoslavia in 1929. Montenegro, Serbia and State of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes were all abolished and the kingdom was divided in 9 administrative regions of which only Slovenes had their own - other 8 were not divided on the base of ethnicity.

heinekencobra Socialist Yugoslavia was closest to true Socialism as any country has ever got, then again, nobody is perfect, but it was certainly better and much more lenient than Communism was. People weren't as free as westerners and Democracies though, but life wasn't all that bad here back in the day.

Quill just an an FYI you only get the bad events for changing the government if you pick an adviser that pushes it one way or the other, if its a push from the focus tree only when you get around 50% an even will trigger that changes the government for like -5% unity. Also you should have gotten rid of the bad national modifiers before going down the industry path.

hey Quill! Take good care of Slovenia. I am from here. he he ;) But I know its hard. In my 10 play though of Yugoslavia 6x times Romanian and Hungary declared war on me and it was just a bloodbath. Historically we were occupied by the germans and italians. So I guess its ment to be :) But Tito was not only a the leader but also a commander in partizan forces. He and Stalin had a love hate relatiobship. After the war Titos Yougoslavia went its one way. Our version of Socialism was far less brutal then the Russias.

NICK NUTS hey. :) Well I was born in 1983 so Tito was already ded for 3 years. But as a child I do rememer tha it was not all that bad. Jobs were available, pople had lot's of vecation time and were much more patriotic. I rememer 1.may celibrations we a big deal. People seemd more relaxed and cheerful. It was a specila feeling hard to describe. Titos Yugoslavia was promoting Comradship and unity. You have to understand, that Yugoslavia was a multi-nationalists nation. It had at least 5 different languages, similar but not the same and may regional dialects. The official language I think was Serbo-Croatian but not everyone will agree. :) Tito ruled with an absolute iron fist because he knew that nationalistic tendencies of verious republics would destroy Yugoslavia if he let them unattended. And ge was rught. Just 10 years after he died Yugoslavia fell apart and a bad civil war happend in Bosina Serbia and Croatia. Slovenia was lucky. Our war was short and there were not a lot of casualties. Tito was popular because in the eyes of meny he was the man who drove back the Nazzies. There were movies made of his heroic endevors in Yugoslavia. He was charismatic and smart. His model of Socialism was far more comfortable then the Russian one that is why he and Stalin broke contact and the Russian dicator contemplated attacking Yugoslavia. But I think then he was afraid of the American and British intervantion. So an Iron curtain was made. Yugoslavia was somewher in the middle. we had freedome of travel and could do what anyone else could. Freedom of expression was limited but as for everything else ... it was pretty good. It was as thaw this version of Socialism was the optimal way to rule a nation. :) But by the end it was not as roasy. Food and fuel shortage along with hyperinflation were killing everything. I femember buying a pice of gum gor 100 dinars a month later it was 1000 dinars. Dinar was the currency. western foods and clothes were all the rage. My parents often went to Austria to buy coffie and shugar and toys. :) I was born in SFR Yugoslavia the Socialist Republic of Slovenia. And for me it was good.

@TheSerbianEmperor7 жыл бұрын
Lex Noctis It most probably will be. Stellaris is slowly coming to a close and this shouldn't last all that long I think. This DLC is getting released on 14 this month, so give or take a few days afterwards until the mod has been updated and he'll most probably start playing the mod.

Is is weird that I HATE the pre-exiting division nicknames, and disband them? After that I re-train new divisions with the simple names. (Also I rename all divisions and remove useless templates.)
@TheSerbianEmperor7 жыл бұрын
I tend to do that because I don't know the language of the country I'm playing with, so when I'm creating new templates, preexisting ones are using native language, and newly created ones are English, and that really bugs me to no end. Here though not so much considering this is my first language.
@TheUnusualNetwork7 жыл бұрын
Keep uploading Quill I love these :) I do have to clear things up since I see a lot of people from balkans here and they seem very ignorant supporting Tito and his communist regime. First of all We had a great life in Yugoslavia because we're thrown out of COMINTERN and USA saw that as a big weakness and wanted to drive the wedge between Stalin and Tito. So they gave us a lot of long term zero-interest loans and that actually made all those 5 year plans possible. And it's well known that during the Axis occupation people were killed, civilians, by the Croat fascists, Tito forgave them, Bulgarian war crimes in ww1, Tito forgave them as well, We were transferring food to Albania while our own people were dying of hunger, Everybody that wasn't in the Peoples Front, were subjugated to discrimination later beatings and after first and last elections which were rigged, were killed or sent to some type of gulags. So with all this I wanted to say that these people are ignorant and not all of us are like this in Balkan but most are still die hard communists or people supporting it, so I wanted to clear things up. (This pisses them off) For king and fatherland; freedom or death

Bulgaria has very weak military(6 divisions) in this game in 1936. It's supposedly reflecting the demilitarization after WW1, but in this game makes it unrealistically weak. Bulgaria is also penalized resource wise in this game. It's like they implemented it halfway. There is a reason Hitler pushed Romania to give up Southern Dobrudja just to get Bulgaria on board you know... like the same reason Romania, Yugoslavia and Greece allied all the time. Bonus fact Romanian army failed to cross half of Bulgaria without any opposition in 1914. Second Bonus fact Greek army was defeated by Bulgarian paramilitaries in 1929 when they invaded southern Bulgaria.
