It's because he's faking it. This far into a series nothing is new, not much can surprise you. But that's not 'good content'. So to stay relevant, they amp themselves up and act like their 'characters' (or ego) to be stimulating and funny. Some people like Ryan can do it reallllly well, but Geoff's bits are half fake reactions, a quarter of being in charge while having a complex about it and another quarter of just vulgar stories for vulgarities sake. Once you hear it in their voices you can't ever unhear it

They mentioned it like, 80 episodes ago that it's only for a second and generally the let's plays rarely see the long term event of a tool actually breaking. They are also given the tools required at the start of most let's plays and if they are doing a survival esc on like this the resources are plentiful (wood, stone, iron) or it will never break during recording time (diamond). Now if they had made a shovel then it is just foolish to not use it, however again if it is just a second it's not much. Sure in the long run, it damages the pickaxe or the seconds add up to minutes but these new worlds never last longer than 3 hours and if they do, it's Achievement City where Geoff just gives everyone a diamond pickaxe.

I can understand that. My tactic is build a hasty platform, build a bed, than throw bodies until everything is dead. Probably one of the most fun things to do in Minecraft. I’ll at least bring a shit ton of stone for axes n swords, but it’s still pretty similar to the AH method.

Throw the sponge in the furnace to get a dry sponge, place it in the water and it will soak up an area of water. then repeat till the temple is unflooded, otherwise you will be there forever.

I tried that in creative mode on the PC, and even then it took a long time to drain out the temple, but I was successful in the end. The other thing is that their gonna need kill the guardians and enchant their armor to make the job easier.

In Geoffs defense, the elder guardians ghost image is pretty creepy. I purposely sought out an ocean monument to see this "ghost guardian" for myself, and although it didn't fully scare me, it did make me jump. And it was legitimately creepy.

Hey AH, some suggestions for clearing the Underwater Temple, two useful enchants are aqua Affinity, which allows you to move a little quicker underwater and increases how far you, it is for helmets. Depth Strider allows you to move faster in water, it is for boots. If you drink milk obtained from a cow, it removes the Mining fatigue effect. Its also helpful to brew potions of water breathing and night vision. If you cook the sponge you got in a furnace, it will be a dry sponge, which will absorb water source blocks, and it can be reused infinitely. Finally, bows do work underwater but they have a limited range.

Just stand in front of a wall under water. Place a torch and then it will create an air pocket for a split second, enough to refill your air. No need to drown ;)

+LetsPlay Also, Sponges have a special use in game. They can soak up all water blocks within 3 blocks in each direction when they are wet mine them and pick them up, to dry them out to a regular sponge, put them in a furnace.

I'm not sure whether you guys will do any research or have already filmed the water temple video but here are some little tips for you! If you make signs and put them on the wall it creates a block of air under water. Also a wet sponge will become dry if you put it in the furnace. These are then used to suck up the water in the water temple. But beware once you put the sponge down you must dry it again for another use. There are rooms where you can find multiple wet sponges as well. Happy Hunting and can't wait to see you guys conquer a water temple!

***** Ill name a few lol. 1.Price of hardware is much higher than a console. 2.PCs gave a range of specs. Which means that not ever game will run on all the systems unlike on consoles 3.The majority of people who play games couldn't give a fuck about specs and shit. consoles are easy, Is what i'm trying to say. 4.games are developed for consoles, not PCs so they generally work better and shit like that. 5. PCs have a ridiculous amount of retarded idiots who won't settle for less then perfect. And yell at the devs like 5 year olds. Which is now turning devs away from developing on PC. That was game centric obviously. Im a pc gamer. But I can see both positive and negatives on both systems.
