@PotatoMcWhiskey7 жыл бұрын
fixer10091994 When you're talking and playing there is a lot of pressure to keep the pace of the game moving, he could probably sit and inspect the tiles for 30s and find the optimal layout but that would negatively affect the flow of the video, so he just accepts that sometimes he is going to be a bit un-optimal in exchange for keeping the video well paced and interesting. That and talking while playing makes it harder to play a little bit

This would be amazing in Sid Meier Civilization were in the early ages like 4000 bc you have a smaller scale and when you advance in time you go on a large and larger scale. It would really seem like you have gone really far and their would be so much more details.

When you are deciding to build, you can click on the item and then the "go to" button in the middle between build and close. That shows at least one of the spaces that will be affected.

I have played this several times now (over the weekend after having seen your first video). I tried to save the authority until I got to a good trial (build a temple or whatever). I kinda did the same thing with hammers. This is a fun game. I do think that it has somewhat limited re-playability, as you said in the first video. Good hunting.

Did you know:This game was originaly called Pre-Civilization but they got copyrited by the people behind the Civilization series(newest release Civilization VI) for using the word "Civilization" which is owned by them.
@TFHDeathUA337 жыл бұрын
It's not really owned by them and I'm not a fan of single word trademarks but this game pretty much copies the UI. Having a name that is 95% the exact same(just added "Pre-") is too close.
@poruks77457 жыл бұрын
There are a lot of games with a very similar name but i think they targeted this one because it was so close to the launch of Civ VI.
@a-drewg17167 жыл бұрын
also this shares alot of the UI of Civ V
@METALFREAK037 жыл бұрын
It was also called Old Kingdom, they got thingied for that as well. I don't see how this is a carbon copy of civ though. I just don't see it. It's very similar but it isn't civ at all.

dragonfang12321 Yeah, most youtubers do the same thing. I've tried doing let's plays before but the fact I kept missing things and noticing while watching after infuriated me haha. Its hard enough to be entertaining, interesting, lively and funny for 40 minutes straight but doing it while playing a game means you miss things all the time. Game Tips KZbin's mechanics dictate that regular content is better than flooding with videos. Besides not everyone has 2.5 hrs to dedicate to one thing in a day, but you can probably find 5×30m timeslots over 5 days.
@gametips83397 жыл бұрын
+PotatoMcWhiskey Yea i know i was just stating my affinities. I agree on your first point he is probably doing it for more consistent channel growth and viewer retention. The other argument almost certainly does not apply it is quite obvious that he dedicated 2-3 hours to this game, finished it, cut it down to what if the names of videos are not misleading 5 pieces, uploaded them and is making them public once per day.

Huh, I've actually wanted a similar mechanism flipping between a smaller map and larger map in place for 4X games to better transition from planets to solar systems to local stellar cluster, galaxy...maybe even intergalactic maps. Seems the scale of travel and thus resources is the issue to adapting 4X game mechanics to most sci-fi settings where you could theoretically get a starting ship all the way across the galaxy (at least in terms of travel time if not range or whatever) which makes it hard to model, say the Federation of Star Trek or even the Interstellar Alliance of Babylon 5.

@robertcorbell10066 жыл бұрын
It would be Canaan. Judea was given by the Romans under Julius Caesar as dictated by the Republic's Senate which would later followed by the name Palestine to erase the memory of the Jewish Revolt under Bar Kochab under Hadrian. However, the game developers went with the Latin names as they were more familiar even though they knew better, although they used the Egyptian ones for gods and rulers. They also used the Greek names for the cities for the same reason.
