The one thing Sonic Forces really needed was a new game plus mode so it's more fun to 100% the game.

One massive problem with the Avatar clothing, is that most of it is just 3 different colors of the same article of clothing. It kinda seems like a lazy way of making it look like there are many clothing options to choose from. Something like a color wheel that lets you choose between several colors for each piece of clothing, would have been more customizable.

I *really* hope customization's in the next game even if the OC isn't. Sonic Colors Ultimate gives me *some* hope, but since all the "costumes" so far are baby's first gamebanana skin, I'm not confident if the next game will have customization on the level of Sonic Rivals 2, let alone Sonic Forces.

One year for Halloween, one of my shipmates wanted to dress up as Santa. The size difference between us was pretty great; I was 6'2" and 220 lbs, he was 5'6" and maybe 140 lbs. So he asked to borrow one of my poopiesuits, stuffed it full of fluff, and finished the ensemble with a Santa hat and beard. He made quite a convincing fat guy in that outfit, but the lack of red made it so we had to use our imaginations to see Santa.

A few things not covered in the video: Drill Wispon Special Action: Turn into a drill that moves along the ground and up and down walls. Void Wispon Special Action: Teleport in the direction you hold the left analog stick. You zip forward and destroy any enemies in your path. Rental Avatar: Press the square button to bring up a list of other people’s Avatars. You can select one to bring into the stage and switch between them with L2. SOS Missions: Optional objectives that only appear if you have an online account for your system. Red means “Clear with someone else’s Avatar (yours is unavailable),” green means “Clear with someone else’s Avatar as your Rental,” and blue means “Find the Animal Capsule holding someone’s Avatar and open it.”

i suspect a lot of the sharing of outfits in sonic forces has to do with the fact that every avatar is basically the same exact shape, with only very minor differences. as a result, you can basically just make 1 clothing item that will work on any character, because they're all the same avatar with a few different small bits bolted on. in contrast, looking at a game like soul calibur, ivy is just not the same shape as siegfried. or even close. you'd need to design entirely separate models of each costume to share them between characters. now, that may not be the *only* reason, but it isn't as simple as just letting the different characters wear each others' clothes.

Sonic Team, the developer you technically can't hate because every game is made by an almost entirely different group of people. I swear, Sonic is like the equivalent of working the cashier or fast food cooking. Something you do as an easy way to have experience on your resume. Many of the people who worked on the more well recieved games went on to make bigger projects, such as Breath of the Wild. SuperMaioT made a video discussing the topic "Sonics state of quandary." I suggest you check it out for the full story as I can't remember much off the top of my head.

Can confirm that Super Sonic only works after you beat a stage normally. Also, as I remember, they never actually implemented the $2 cost, so it's technically always been free. So i had an idea that i would like to see if we get another avatar game and that is simply to combine it with shadow the hedgehogs multiple endings and branching paths so that you are able to define your character a little better, such as being able to work for Eggman or doing heel turns by doing the good path up to a point and the descend into villany.

Question Clement. Would you like to see them revisit the Avatar character idea? I personally feel they should take another crack at it. The avatar was a cool concept and was some of the more fun parts of this game in my opinion. Took me a while to get all S ranks, especially on the Extra missions. The custom Avatar is great with lots of options, but I do wished they had a Colour Pallet for the items instead of giving you three recolors of the same thing.

I can see the Avatar's game play work really well in a spin off game. What if you had a whole bunch of wisps and wispons to choose from and you can switch to any one you want on the fly, like in a Mega Man game? They can also give us more clothing options to choose from, but maybe make it more fun like being able to fully customize the color of something, if you don't like the default color.

In the last scene when classic sonic leaves I find it really weird how they're literally 2 characters away from reuniting the entire playable cast of sonic heroes + silver and the rookie.
