Here's the deal with the NiGHTS DLC for the wii:u. You don't actually need the Deadly Six Edition to play it. Just ask someone for the code, type it in, and viola! You can play the NiGHTS DLC stage. The codes are reusable, and don't expire, despite what the package says. I hope that clears things up. I'm also disappointed that Clement didn't blow up the gossip stones, which you can do with the bomb wisps. EDIT: It's apparently no longer possible to redeem the DLC code for the Wii U. From what I can gather, this has to do with the Wii U eShop not accepting rewards codes after August 2022. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

You didn't even need to preorder. The Deadly Six Edition was sold in stores, and I'd say it's the most common version that shows up in places like Gamestop and other stores that sell used games.

Nightmare Zone is my favorite DLC stage for Sonic Lost World. I love the feeling of enigma and the illusory atmosphere. And every time I see a stage I love for either aesthetic or thematic reasons, I wish a whole could be dedicated to it--in this case, one with all those purple cosmic windows and the rest.

My name is A Blob. With an L. Not Bob. .3. Yay, I'm famous! It certainly is fantastic. Especially because this is in a way a Mario & Sonic platform crossover. It shows that they can make Sonic work in a Mario world and probably vice versa, it just depends how you design the level layout. Oh, yeah, I would have certainly liked to see more open enviroments like that Zelda bit. The way you could use a parcour system to find a clever way to skip over a slow platforming section would be so good... like, think of Adventure 1's Red Mountain where you have to hang onto stuff to slowly go over a pit or lava but with this system, you can be clever and use it to just run on a wall. It doesn't work with a tube-like design, in my opinion.

I'm gonna put it out there and say right now, Yoshi's Island Zone is not only the best level in the game, but also the only worthy followup the original game had up until Wooly World came out. Seriously such a loving tribute to one of the greatest games of all time. So much more care was put into it than what Artoon and Arzest put into Yoshi's Island DS and Yoshi's New Island.

I actually got the preorder version of Lost World the Christmas after it came out. I know my parents didn’t have enough foresight to know I would want the game before I specifically asked for it for Christmas, and I didn’t specify “get the Deadly Six Edition on eBay or something,” so they must have either just found it randomly in a store or Amazon just happened to send that version. Guess not too many people preordered it, lol.

The NiGHTS DLC made me so happy. A shame the fights were just rehashes of the main game's boss fights, but it was still amazing to get HD models for the nightmaren.

Besides Miiverse and the black bomb, Clement never commented on how the Wii U version NEVER uses the items in the stages. They are only reserve items. That is like if a Mario game had only coins and there were no power ups whatsoever in the stages themselves and you HAD to wait for random overworld drops to use a mushroom or fire flower. The 3DS version does use them so that´s a plus.

A friend of mine got Sonic Lost World just for the NiGHTS DLC level, and he never bothered to go past the first level of the main game, basically saying the NiGHTS level alone is better than the entire game. Mind you, he's more a fan of the Sonic Game Gear and Sonic Adventure games, so his views on Sonic are pretty distinct. For that matter, the NiGHTS series is pretty underrated; I actually started with the Wii game Journey of Dreams, but evidently it wasn't successful enough to make NiGHTS more popular and a bunch of people didn't like it for some reason. Anyway, my friend is also a fan of the Legend of Zelda series, but he never got the Zelda DLC, (though the overworld section does look more like a Sonic Adventure game, like Sonic in a Knuckles level).

I agree, the Legend of Zelda DLC, it's the one that makes me really want that, they keep the controls, change the tubular level design to the normal level flat level design. Those controls and game could be awesome!!!(And begin slowly to abandom the run button to the stick controlling the speed) It could go back to the Sonic style of the adventure games, and slowly, in that gameplay style add new characters, to control the same as Sonic, but have other abilities... You know like the classic games.

I got the game first on 3ds and about a year later on wii u, it was the deadly 6 bonus edition, pre owned and the code worked. I guess I'm quite lucky that I have the nights level even though I got the game way after day one.

It's actually based on YOSHI's Story, not YOSHI's Island. The artstyle and background are a dead giveaway. Only exception being the ending... for obvious reasons, if you've played YOSHI's Story

While the art style is similar, the music, enemies and end goal objective is taken straight out of the original Yoshi's Island. At the very most, it takes a little inspiration from Yoshi's Story, but isn't based on it.

Huh...that's weird. The only version of the game in my area at the time of its release was the Deadly Six Edition, and the NiGHTS stage was already there when I started the game.
