I swear to every god, Overlord, Master or whatever out there, I love these games. In how many other games can you find such f***ed up stories and characters? And yet, aren't these news so common in real life? Nippon Ichi basically only talks about angels and demons, and yet they reproduce human society and nature so perfectly. Amazing.

I love seeing the different sides of what could of happened, had you not influenced the world positively in the main game. Thrish's story line makes me extremely sad, it hit me the hardest out of all of them q,q.

A person has to be ok with the main character "dominating" them to use them in battle. If they aren't (or don't consent), then it's a no go. ^_^

Dominating is a power which creates a doll of people and we can summon in battle They have to consent it and say their real name to work

I just looked up the Soul Nomad at the trope website, and sheesh, another reason to hate Hawthorne even more is that aside from what he "did" toTrish that's breaking her mind, it's also the poison in her system that's deteriorating her mind. Basically he gets off "doing" children that's slowly losing their minds.

"He's one of our regulars. Always buys the prettiest girls. How'd you know? I hear none of his girls stay with him past their 17th birthday." It should tell you how evil someone is when both the Devourlord (the same character who slaughtered their entire village (including a two new parents), encourages Juno and Thorndyke to fight to the death to see who gets Penn, spares Pinot's life only to torture her by murdering her friend Agrippa right in front of her a couple chapters later, and who slaughters literally everyone in sight in the final battle of the Demon Path) and Gig (the literal Master of Death) aren't interested in recruiting Hawthorne to their side. And even then, they only allowed Shauna to kill him because he was groveling and wasting their time, not because he's a rapist (which would be the reason I'd allow Shauna to kill him). I'm not kidding. Seeing what that monster did to Trish and seeing how broken she is in the Demon Path (especially when you factor in that she dies a few chapter later) is genuinely heartbreaking.

Agreed. The Demon Path really takes things in a pretty horrifying, and bleak direction, and the heartstrings get major workouts with what happens to many characters, Trish definitely included. >_

It’s not so much being around Gig as it is the knowledge that our character exists: In the Demon Path, we’re an omnicidal maniac who barely cares about anything beyond destruction. The only real instances where we’ve let others tag along have been at Gig’s behest or because we thought it might be funny to make supposedly good people do evil things; we could kill them all at any moment without so much as batting an eye... And they know it. We could very well destroy the entire world if we felt like it and no one would be able to stop us. *That* is why people are losing it around us.
