Magic the Gathering will always have a place in my heart, but I also love exploring new TCGs. I started playing games in college after years of failing at sports and have been addicted ever since.

18 Leaders atm, but you can also play Twin Suns where you run 2 Leaders in a multiplayer Commander-like format fir even more deck building options atm

Looks fun, and it certainly has good IP, glad its old Star wars focus and not Jar Jar vs Rey BS, hope it has legs, and I am glad its not a "collectable game" but being sold more as a board game

My youngling and I played with some prerelease kits last night and both really liked it! He preferred it over Lorcana. Both picked it up pretty quickly!

I was slightly positive on the game with the starters. It wasn’t until started playing constructed decks on tabletop simulator that I had that aha moment and I’m convinced the game is very very good. the prerelease I was at had 30 people and I was kinda shocked since most of the destiny players I know aren’t ready to forgive ffg yet so it was mostly new people.

This game is amazing. Already got some magic guys liking the Twin Suns format better then commander. Who doesn’t want to play with 2 leaders(commanders)!!! We like when the first player is eliminated the game ends. You don’t have to wait around forever to play another game.

The art looks awful on some cards. There seems to be confusion on which style of art they wanted to use so they went with both. The gameplay is great and kept me engaged the whole match. The prerelease was a fun experience and i can't wait to draft it.

Game looks pretty fun. I’m not crazy about the resource system. Feels a little generic but being able to use any card I guess is balanced.

Deciding what card to use as a resource is incredibly fun and challenging.

I picked up a prerelease box just because its Star Wars and a friend wanted to try it out. The game seemed fun enough but I don't see myself getting into another game. We did find it a little odd thematically that you can freely mix Light and Dark side cards/characters when deck building (all be it possibly at an increased casting cost if the aspects don't match). I guess "what if" scenarios can be fun, but I am a purist to what was shown in the movies.

One correction on the teach. At the regroup phase the sequence is draw 2, choose to resource or not, then ready cards. The difference is resources enter play exhausted so the refresh comes after that choice. Also readying is the way you indicated you are. It going to resource later in the game

Give the art a chance to grow on you, but I would agree that the frames seem off. Hyperspace cards are the answer!

The game seems very mid. The art looks pretty poor in comparison to a game like Sorcery and the theme on the cards is very shaky. Why would Luke's lightsabre heal him? Never seen it have that ability before. Why would Vader telling General Jonah he is his father do anything? *The fact it is an FFG game, a company famous for abandoning TCG's after not very long only adds more reason for skepticism.

Comparing any game's art to Sorcery really isn't fair, lol. They can always improve the art as they go, like many card games have done. Also, the flavor of "I am your father" is contained in the card itself - in the context of the film, Luke is given a choice in that moment to join Vader (draw 3) or get owned (take 7 damage) - a game can't constrain its design too much because of flavor.

Another complaint without an actual complaint on the gameplay is sweet. I don’t care what the IP is. The fact the game plays super smooth is a win for me. It’s so much fun.
