Really enjoyed this episode! I don't know what it is, but sometimes i struggle to come up with stories for my sims, yet when I watch videos of other people playing the Sims, the ideas are just flowing in, haha. I have 2 possible theories as to why she didn't pursue ballet as a career. Theorie #1 is pretty basic: she was living and breathing ballet up until an injury changed her life for good. That led her to be depressed and to get with the very wrong for her Tricou guy. Theory #2 is so much more dark: Tricou guy is rich and rich people are often art benefactors and give a lot of money to different art organizations. What if he was funding the ballet company that the teenage Lindsay was dancing in (she had to have been a teen and he an adult judging by their ages), he groomed her which led to her getting pregnant and so traumatized by the Tricou encounter that she left professional ballet for good. Or she was "let go" from the company because Tricou didn't want the scandal to get out in his rich sims circles?

I love watching the way your characterise sims, seeing her LTW be different to her career and you come up with this whole backstory about how she had to abandon her dream of becoming a dancer to provide for her son - really cool! I like her so much already and hope for good things in the family's future

Aw thank you so much 🥰 I'm trying really hard not to ship Loren and Lakshmi straight off the bat but it's hard 😂 They really hit it off well. Yeah, me too! It's a lot of fun playing apartments like this - it's a great way to start up a hood and get sims knowing one another quickly and, as you say, organically.

Uh! A new episode so fast! YEAY I really liked, that their hobbys stayed the same after randomising, like the game wanted them to have them. And for the story of Lindsay with her wish to become ballet dancer. Like you said she could started a drama major but then got seduced by the Tricou guy and realised, that it is better for her having a stable and long term career for rising children. So she persued a physics major, her other passion in life. I am glad though that you gave her a ballet barre so she is not depressed that her boys took something from her but rather that she can still dream about being a ballet pro while living her day to day life as a science teacher (I love the idea for her, since she is a knowledge and family sim!) I understand that you want to have a lot of time with her playing, and I totally support your decission aging her up 10 days, but I can not simply not do the maths the nerd I am. So if she had Lauren while she was in college maybe in her 2nd year (being 20?) and him being now 15? (I can't quite remember your aging system) she would be 35. So the math checks out. It is quite impressing what you can do with such little space. It really feels like a home of teenage boys and an overworking mother. I think there is a mod for Mr. Humble (No Rod Humble by Flying Fish Systems (J. M. Pescado)) so he won't come but you still can buy the computer. Did you ever consider it? I have to get the workout with the MP3 player, it is so realistic! Both of Lindays boys got something of her, Loren the dance and party part and Ash the nerdy science part. I really like how this played out. I can't wait to see the high school play out and all of the teenager interact with one another. I am wondering if Michael will ever find love the creep he is. But maybe he is just this way with the neighbours. I didn't know that reading a sci-fi book will turn you in a stink ball :D it reading so intense or do they "piss themself" because the scenarios are creepy or is it simply because nerd read sci-fi books and they have the prejudice of being stinky? I can't pick a favourite. Really enjoyed watching this episode and looking forward for what is to come in this neighbourhood! Have a great day!

Haha it truly was as if the game wanted to mess with me at first 😂 But I agree, science really suits the both of them. I'm relieved too that she's kept up the dancing - too often in real life, I think mothers let go of their dreams and I find it so sad. So this way, as you say, the boys didn't take it from her, at least not completely. I'm glad you think that her being a science teacher fits ❤ Oh what a relief haha! Thank you for calculating that, I was really just winging it 😂❤ Thank you 🥰 I tried out the "No Rod Humble" mod recently, but I got error messages using it, so there's something in my downloads folder that it's conflicting with. I decided to just remove it and manually delete the packages instead, it's no biggie 😊 That is such a good point that the boys, as different as they are, each got something from their mother. I didn't think of that, thank you for pointing it out! Haha oh good god Michael, I actually had a good feeling about him that first episode, and then this happens 😂 I bet we'll see more of him, if not in this apartment building then around town... Another great introduction! I am really enjoying getting to know these characters with you and the other viewers, it gives a interesting vibes of watching something grow together, it's a lot of fun. I like the ideia that Lidsay got pregnant quite young and had to give up her ballet dreams, which led her to the othr thing she also liked, science. I wonder if she'll find it in her to follow this dream once her boys are out of the house, but considering her secondary family aspiration I also wonder how that will fit in with other possible kids she may have. The idea that her hobby is science but her dream is to dance makes me wonder if her actuall hobby wasn't on the scientifical side of dancing, like the history of dance and ballet of maybe the study of dancer's health (like ballerina's weigth, feet and posture). A total dance nerd, one of these people who like to collect random knowledge about the stuff that they love. I imagine her having a libary full of books on the history of dancing, different rithms and biographys for great names of the music, like Tchaikovsky. This aesthetic got me vibing lol As for the boys, I too caught on pretty quick on how different they are, and how similar Ash is from his mom, except... he isn't, because her dream is actually to dance. It led me on a tangeant about their relationship both with themselves and their mom, especially considering neither of them knows who their father is. For Lorne, specially being a teenager, I imagine him being quite... fed up, sometimes. He has a good relationship with his mom and his brother, but as soon as I saw him getting into military I imediately thought "this absent father figure thing is really getting ito you, huh?" because it isn't uncommon specially for young boys who miss this kind of figure to find it in other male figures of authority. For poor Dustin in pleasantview, it was a criminal. Maybe for Lorne, it was a military dude. Idk how things work where you live, but here in my country we have the surprising advent of the "military police", so the idea of military bases around a big city is not surprising for me at all, but they function more as some kind of police base instead of a complete middle-of-knowere ready-to-war base. So if that's the case, maybe he got that support from a officer, perhaps even one working on the more political side of things. Maybe we'll bumpo into a guy from another family who works on military and that could explain some things. In a way, I imagne him being a tad bit rebellious mostly for being the odd one out. I can imagine that for a kid that doesn't have a father present, to see his mom and his brother being so close in a way that he never was, that can be quite isolating. It's a good thing he has a nice relationship with them, because I honestly could see this going very sideways otherwise. And Ash gave me a different vibe completely. While I imagine Lorne missing an absent father, I see Ash as totally attached to his mom, perhaps because she's all he has. He ends up mimicking her hobbies, her career, maybe thinking she's so cool and he wants to impress her. Not necessarily conciously, maybe on the subcouncious, but still. I wonder what it would do to him to find out that she had a completely different dream that she gave up for them, and that she still wants to follow it, which would mean her becoming, in a way, quite different from what he knows. As usual, I ramble a lot, but this one gave me a lot to think lol Love the episode as usual, and can't wait to see more!

For sure the abscence of a father would have Loren looking for a male role model elsewhere, that really checks out! And how sweet, Ash looking up to his mom, but that really does make a lot of sense as well ❤ To be honest, the swedish military isn't very visible in the everyday life so I think I might just be very unaware of how it actually works. You're probably right that they have pressence around bigger cities, just that I haven't thought of it like that. @@AniBats Here in Brazil, specially on the state I live in, Military Polices are quite predominant, in fact there's a lot of debate about whether they should exist or not. I personally am against them as an entity, but there are lots of arguments for each side. They are more focused on the criminal side of things, we have a separate Civil Police for civil cases. Not good at explaining this kind of stuff but hopefully this helps form a picture in your mind somehow hahaha

I like the makeover you gave Lindsey. Maybe Lindsey isn't pursuing a Dance career because it requires a lot of traveling. If she was without children, it would be much easier to travel the Sim World. Lindsey might be on her way of getting her life straight after experiencing some bumpy roads. Being a single mother of two (by force) probably led Lindsey to make some questionable decisions.
