Game Description:
The Talos Principle 2 is a thought-provoking first-person puzzle experience that greatly expands on the first game's philosophical themes and stunning environments with increasingly mind-bending challenges.
Born into a new world where biological humanity is extinct but human culture lives on in a city of robots, you find yourself swept up in a mind-bending adventure involving a mysterious megastructure hiding enormous powers.
The more you discover, the more you will be confronted with questions about the nature of the cosmos and the purpose of civilization. The broken promise of a better tomorrow, the fear of repeating humankind’s mistakes, faith in reason or renouncing humanity altogether - the choices you make and the sides you take will determine the course of events.
A New Generation of Puzzles
Solve a wide array of puzzles with varying difficulty levels, including clever metapuzzles and highly challenging Gold puzzles. Finish the game without solving every puzzle, or pursue the rewards of complete mastery. A variety of new abilities, such as gravity manipulation and mind transference, join the established mechanics of the original Talos Principle, creating a fresh but familiar experience.
A Philosophical Odyssey
Take the next step forward in the story of The Talos Principle in a thought-provoking, character-driven interactive story with multiple endings penned by returning writers Jonas Kyratzes (The Eternal Cylinder, Clash: Artifacts of Chaos) and Tom Jubert (The Swapper, Subnautica), joined by Verena Kyratzes (The Hand of Merlin, Serious Sam 4).
Brave New World
Explore more than a dozen all-new environments, from a city on the brink of a paradigm shift to the varied landscapes of a mysterious island that holds the keys to the future. Take a break from puzzle-solving to discover long-buried secrets and strands of forgotten history.
The Melodies of Creation
Immerse yourself in the rich, bittersweet world of The Talos Principle with a stunning soundtrack by master composer Damjan Mravunac (Serious Sam, The Talos Principle), with a guest appearance by Chris Christodoulou (Risk of Rain 1 and 2).

12:30 The game doesn't actually have fall damage. You can jump from any height and you'll be fine as long as you land within the bounds of the map. But if you jump off of a cliff where you're not supposed to be, you'll hit a kill trigger instead.

Not only is the intro referencing the crab meme, but there's actually an easter egg in the game where you can start a crab dance party. If you want to see it for yourself you probably need to consult a guide, because stumbling across it on your own is fairly improbable.

They weren't saying the worm hole was the direct cause of this particular teleporter problem, but instead the character was concerned that, if something went wrong with the worm hole, their body might be destroyed. That does create the teleporter problem, but only because the character is a robot that can back up its brain state. The character could just as easily have been worried about getting into a car or submarine and having their body destroyed in an accident that way.

Barzai does have a point, though. We're so used to Art always having a purpose or a message or hidden meaning that explicitly stating something has none has become absolutely necessary. Otherwise we would not consider that being an option, or even recognize the piece as being Art at all! But I wonder if this is going to be the start of some highbrow meta-joke on top of the already meta narrative.
@amy_grace
@amy_grace 25 күн бұрын
I think Keith misheard that audio log. Barzai wasn't saying that art NEVER has a purpose - and in fact he acknowledges several purposes art often has - just that it doesn't NEED a secondary purpose beyond the inherent pleasure of making it.

1:42:46 "Without more precise data about the human brain, how do we even know this is what they experienced when they tasted a coconut? Bloody qualia" Good timing on that line, especially after the Who's Lila playthrough (now I'm also wondering what a coconut would taste like to a bat) 🥥🦇

I loved 6 and 7 (although your 7 kinda broke a little, its not supposed to wallminer through the grate, you're meant to use the top half of the double height minewall with the button behind it). 8 didn't need fast "ah ah panic" timing, as you didn't NEED the block to make the laser connections before ascending the elevator, so you could calmly take the block on then calmly grab the connector after!

And he could have just swapped the connector and inverter around, allowing for a direct connection after all :)

1:08:37 Even before you had to reset, nothing was preventing you from grabbing the connector and placing it right here, although the blue gate guarding the red emitter wouldn't be open. But that doesn't matter, as you can turn back and put the box on the other button, and everything is solved. There was no need to get the driller onto the wall.

@@buttonasas Not really. Before Keith fell from the wall and had to reset, he seemed to think he couldn't pick up the connector and put it in the same place I timestamped, when in fact he could.

A dlc that's first part is a post epilogue island vacation. It's so self indulgent and wonderful. Reminds me of the Citadel DLC for Mass Effect, but on a much larger scale.

I have a question: these three colors of puzzles - red, green and blue - are they from this part of the DLC?
@Spanner1971B
@Spanner1971B 2 ай бұрын
Yeah thats just this 1/3 of the game. I haven't done the 3rd part yet. The first part was considerably smaller than this triple-islands zone. Which suits me fine, as I think the Yakut/Miranda story is dead cute, and I love the idea of a family holiday and teasing the poor guy!

1:33:00 "Why call it New Atlantis? It's the new version of a fake thing from a myth. Like new Mount Olympus." Lol clearly you aren't aware that Mount Olympus is a real place in Greece. Obviously it isn't actually the home of a mythical pantheon, but the place itself is real. It amused me that just a few seconds before making that incorrect statement you were whining about stupid people and then immediately revealed yourself to be not as smart as you think you are. Very amusing. Maybe the pot shouldn't comment on the kettle.

the idea that those star trek transporters even exist is kinda illogical? cause they had to be developed, designed, tweaked, someone wouldve absolutely died in the early testing stages, and im not that sure they would use living test subjects, seeing as star trek is as about as woke as it gets
