For those looking for the first episode of my next LP, I took it down due to the technical problems that many complained about. I'll see what I can do to fix them. If I cannot, then I'll find another project to do. I don't want to throw anything out there just for the sake of it. Thank you for your patience.

Thank you for the bonus episode HCBaily. Xenogears was a blast to watch even with the game's quirks. I love how creative all of the deathblows and hyper mode attacks are. I have a lot of questions about where Maria got that gear sized hammer from and how she was able to wield it, but I shouldn't ask. I definitely shouldn't be asking about Emeralda either because she can attack however she wants. Nanomachines.

I enjoyed this LP, HCBailly. A nice trip down memory lane. Since you mostly play JRPGs, have you ever tried your hand at Vagrant Story? That's a masterpiece of a game! And an incredible technical achievement at the time. Hideo Kojima himself was jealous of the game and what the developers were able to achieve. The only caveat with Vagrant Story is that it is a very challenging game, meant for veteran gamers. Regardless, very much a game worth playing. The story, storytelling, writing, battle system, music, graphics.. are all incredible!

8:01 As I understand it, it's not that Emeralda *has* nanomachines, so much as she *is* nanomachines. She's not a biological lifeform; she's mechanical. Where we have cells making up our bodies, she has nanomachines, and that means she can alter her body in ways we can't. :)

I was very tempted to spend an hour trying to figure out what the text during Citan's Festive Wind says, but happily, someone on GameFAQs already claims it to be something like "Song of wind, a requiem for the honored fallen." I'll take it.

In your first deathblow video (filmed during the same take as this one for the most part I assume) you had the same issue with Billy, where he was missing on deathblows due to ammo. The deathblows Gunholic, Nut Crack, and Banfrau all missed.

I used the same save file for recording, but this was all recorded in the past 24 hours. I did a lot of grinding, saving, and resetting, before I cut out everything in between.

In the game code, everyone has their light and dark lvl7 deathblows with their own unique animations, but you can't access them without cheats. For anyone using the latest version of the ePSXe emulator, the codes are available by default.

with rico he specifically can't use death blows on gear sized enemies, a person can't grapple a giant robot after all.

he can show off chu-chu at maximum power! :P (well, he could... i slightly doubt he will though, since he doesn't like the character and it's a lot of grinding. i couldn't find anyone who'd done it on youtube either, which is a bit of a shame, but ah well).

I wonder... If you kill off two of your party members, does the remaining party member get 3× the experience per battle? (Kinda like most Square Enix RPG's)

Yes, but characters auto-revive after each battle, and you can't target them yourself, making it inefficient to do that, all the time.

This was a great LP. The game haves its flaws, but it's still one of the best rpgs I played. If there's a go fund me to remake this game, I will fund it!

Shame that Weltall's Kishin looks so much cooler than Xenogears' Kishin :(

Because Weltall does the proper "Dark Fist" (only punches coated with dark energy involved), while Xeno adds an axe kick as a finisher.
