If I remember correctly, he is around 5-3. But you got to know that he has been training full-contact Karate from the age of 3 and he also has the professional license of the kick boxing and he also mastered Judo too. His movement is not the one like that of the people at the age of 40. He is a natural born fighter.

@@universexf6 I'm pretty short for averages here in the US too. It's not disrespect to his combat prowess. I find that being shorter makes Acrobatic movements more viable. @universexf6
@universexf6 3 жыл бұрын
@@mykulpierce I think what's good for you would be probably your "non-Asian" people have longer leg, which means if you can hit perfectly, the rotational power would generate more power than Japanese. I am 5-7 btw, about 2 inches taller than the average height here in Japan, but you guys in the U.S are too tall. Can't believe the average height of the Dutch is 6-0.
@mykulpierce
@mykulpierce 3 жыл бұрын
@@universexf6 yeah height is all over the place! My brother is 6'2" while my father is 5'10" I take after my mother's italian side my uncles/aunts average between 5'2 to 5'6". I take a keen interest whenever I see someone who short with really good force generating movements. I've been practicing the kick here last few days, looking forward to perfecting it. Center of mass control I think is one of the grand principles of combat.

@johnubieta8857
@johnubieta8857 3 жыл бұрын
The disadvantage I see with this kick is that if the opponent manages to block it, since the position of your head is almost touching the ground in order to execute the kick, he or she can then counter-strike by kicking your head. In other words you're vulnerable in a real life fight situation having your head so low to the ground.

The best use for manji-geri is as a counter-hitting tool, since it has a worse range than you'd imagine in the kihon position and and the kick generates power from the ducking manoeuvre. As an offensive tool it usually travels in in a slight angular path that allows different types of follow-ups to keep yourself safe from opponents from rushing in mindlessly. But that's obviously beyond basic kihon.

@kamelo2219
@kamelo2219 6 ай бұрын
@@augustusmageto6540 tbh it would be effective against a 'seasoned brawler' because when I've been in fights its mostly been punching, so if you were adjusted to people countering your punch with a weave or parry you wouldn't be expecting this kind of shit and most people in fights try and grab kicks which to do means you have to asorb the full impact of it and this one fucking hurts so its not a great idea to do that.
