Real good at Order of Operations. Chur! I knew there was a reason watching "Real Good at Doin Stuff" almost feels like I'm watching an extended family member with your encyclopedic knowledge on making real horsepower, no nonsense approach and yet somehow still very relaxed. Another Kiwi taking names and kicking ass! So my short list of home grown hero's is low in volume, but high in the quality dept. Bruce McLaren, Pete Harrell, Greg Murphy, Possum Bourne, Jim Richards, Bob Wallace, Burt Munro, Mad Mike Whiddett, and im sure I'm forgetting a couple others. We might be a small country with a higher population of woolly livestock than people (not sure if holds true), but we still knock out some world class legends. Don't get me started with our musicians either. Lol I reckon my old man would have really dug your channel bro, he was one of the fellas that constantly had yards full of his cars, buying them up and using them for parts, or a quick tidy up and maybe a couple extra cylinders and a for sale sign. He had a knack for finding cool oddball creations that the owners were usually at their wits end with trying to make it all work. Especially as Australia got stricter with their vehicle modification laws. Actually, one of dads old mates in Sydney was responsible for an entire state rewriting the rules book after he had a few of his street legal Ford 5.8L, 351C V8 conversions into a 70's Ford Escort, among others. I believe he got 3 built and legally registered before they introduced power to weight limits to engine conversions and mods. His name was Mark Delaqua if I remember right... He was famous among us revheads here in Aus, and was sticking Ford 347w V8 into early 70s Ford Capri's which made awesome strip weapons in the 90s. But the old man had 351C in a 80s Toyota Cressida, a Holden (GM) 4.2L 253ci V8 aka the "thongslapper" as they sound like a pair of jandals slapping together, shoehorned into an old Toyota FJ Landcruiser tray back, along with countless Chevs, Fords, Chryslers and even a twin turbo Mitsubishi 3000GTO at one point. Anyway, enough of my rambling. But as you can see, I can't help but get all nostalgic. I've still got whanau in Christchurch actually. Although I'd probably head for firmer ground after the last deadly quake they copped a number of years back, but I get why others didn't... Anyway, keep up the awesome work bro, and thanks for the great content. Sincerely, Jay. 🤘🏽
