Why not just put the sander into a vise?

that can work for some sanders. This is basically an adjustable vise for sanders, works for all the major sander models. Also, most vises are bolted to the workbench, this can be clamped down on other work surfaces (such as an outfeed table, which has lots of room if sanding hundreds of parts).
