Those subwoofers are nice but they don't even come close to the craftsmanship of a orion hcca subwoofers you did a excellent job on the re cone

A helpful tip, Jerry. When you do, pre-assembled drop in recones... test fit it, for everything lining up. Most times, rotating it, 180 degrees, will line them up if needed brotha. Awesome video!

when you're working with paper shims you start with two shims and continue putting the paper in between each piece it makes it much easier

Looks edxacly like the pole piece on a Orion Hcca. Mine fell off one time I had to take off the cone and epoxy the vent thing back on the pole piece. It was a heavy piece of steel it probably be better without it.

Upgrading to a pair of DS18s soon. Not insanity style like your jeep, but going from 2 wolfram 1250 rms 12s to 2 ds18 2000 rms should be noticeable. Looking forward to it! Thanks for sharing. Might need to recone some day.

Hey did you end up getting those DS 18s cuz that's what I have I have one of the xxb12s dual 2 ohm 4000 Watts Max 2000 RMS EXL I love it how you like it

@@nickolasvaughn667 I got a pair of DS18 XX12 dual 4ohm. Basket and motor same as the xxb, but bigger high roll surround. They took a few days to break in, but yeah LOVE 'em. Lots of spl but still musical.

@@eversoul43 nice that's cool yeah I only have one yeah the only thing I don't like about is how the sub is so big but the surround is small like the surround on it is the same size as a Gothic 12 from Walmart I also have American bass elite which has a bigger surround

But I only paid $220 for it and it was 6 days old I've had for 4 months now and it's still stiff

@@nickolasvaughn667 mine are still stiff but when they were brand new, they had that choppy sledgehammer on plywood kinda sound going on. My installer was certain it was because my boxes are too small (1.7 CU ported per sub, running inverted)That smoothed out after a few days, so box is fine. Check out MarkWoods212 on KZbin. He made the move from the xxbs to the xx12s. Has some good comparison videos.
