is there a reason as to why you didnt weld those new steel sheets fully on top and bottom? - i noticed in the video that there was sunlight shining through.

If you weld all the way along the metal would try and distort especially where the angle iron was added for strength, also waste of time and welding wire/ gas.

@@allanjohnson7702 i wouldn't distort if you weld different sections on opposite sides in other words, alternating between both sides of each piece of sheeting on the deck itself. - it was that i was referring to, not the angle iron reinforcement, but the sheeting itself, it was there i noticed the light. if you weld a 100 milliliter strip at a time and alternate between both sides, the metal has time to cool and set and it wont distort. because by not welding it, priming it and painting it, you just create a new spot for rust to start eating through the paint and primer.

How about before you start Disconnecting all mechanical parts ie gear box ect then having it shot blasted before you start welding
