Thanks for this. I left Abingdon, my home town, in 1982 at the age of 14. The first part of your journey was the route I took (walking) every time I went home from town. Nothing seems to have changed. 'The Grapes' and 'The Boundary House' are still there too. Oh, the nostalgia.
