Thanks for making a usable overview of what this pedal can bring you instead of just making those 40's dracula sounds

The only Rainbow Machine demo on youtube that makes sense.

Imaginative, experimental and very good. Great to see somebody not scared to fail and taking it to the limit. Would it be insulting to mention Radiohead. I think folk who like them would get this.

I'm really curious about the final sound of the Rainbow Machine paired next to distortion pedals. How does it sound going from a crunchy sound to a more extreme high gain setting? There aren't many videos about this on KZbin and I'm not sure why. I'd love to see a demo of this even if the final sound is not quite musical, just to satisfy my curiosity.
@robtimn604010 жыл бұрын
Next time you do one of these videos you should put a camera on the pedal so we can see what settings you're on for the sound that we're hearing. Also telling us what other pedals you're using and at what points you're using them would be awesome. Keep up the great work Andy, love your videos!
@hendrixfan6610 жыл бұрын
That was ridiculous. One of the coolest demos on KZbin.
@TheKillAxxis10 жыл бұрын
That was amazing! The best times I've had playing guitar have come from simply tinkering with effects pedals and seeing how they interact with one another. Can't wait to see another video in this series!

Best video review for this pedal I've seen so far. Thank you.

Fantastic video! May I ask what setting you had the RM on at 5:46 for the falling chorus effect?

The most dominant pedals I can hear is the Rainbow machine Obviously but also the el capstan with that cool delay sound and the mayflower is really giving it that edge.
@derekmeeker284010 жыл бұрын
How are you getting the oscillation w/o pitch bend sound? That's a setting I could really get some use out of but can't seem to find it.

Wow, finally a really good demo of this pedal. It's got a lot going on under the hood. I played it for a few minutes the other day at a Guitar Center and couldn't make it sound anywhere as good as this. Great job!!!

Great stuff! I love pedals like this but always wonder how practical they'd be outside of just making weird noises. You showed some really cool uses for it. Love those slow rising and falling pitch bends.

@canone10 жыл бұрын
In love with that crunch/od sound you have going at 3:56 onwards. If I may ask, is that all bridge pickup, or blended bridge pickup with your strat middle pup? Also, is that dirty tone all from the Matchless, or do you have any comp/drive pedals switched on as well? I really admire and look up to your playing style, looking forward to more gear demos/songs from you!

Hello Andy, sounds amazing! I want to ask you something: At minute 2:18 that you used to drive pedals that sound? At minute 2:18, which pedals you used to pull off that sound? Clearly there is a RAINBOW MACHINE and then more? the Timeline with the function swell? Thank you Andy! Sound is a hallucinogen! WOOOW!
@filmlover198810 жыл бұрын
Andy, your rig is so clean and quiet. With so many pedals, how do you manage to get rid of hum from overdrives and electromagnetic interference, etc. without using a noise gate?
@pedalguru8910 жыл бұрын
Using an isolated power supply and soldered cables really helps.
@filmlover198810 жыл бұрын
pedalguru89 Well, I use two Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+ and lava cables. It's just that my dirt pedals are noisy (Timmy and Fuzzrocious Demon) and I have a lot of electronmagnetic interference in my garage... I'm thinking that a noise gate may be the best way to go at this point...
@pedalguru8910 жыл бұрын
I see. It could be some kind of signal going through your pickups like radio waves or something. Have you tried using separate wall warts for each overdrive? It could be a bad outlet in your power supply.
@MonsieurSafari9 жыл бұрын
Really nice video. Could you tell me, whre in your signal chain the RM is placed?

I think something that should be added is that you can control the pitch knob via an expression pedal. That was my favorite part.
@nicozedled9 жыл бұрын
ehi Andy, at the minute 1:57 with which pedal you produce that oscillation?
@cfoscoop9 жыл бұрын
I would presume the Rainbow Machine.
@nicozedled9 жыл бұрын
Ok! This had understood. But the minute 1:57, to create that sound also uses some other pedal. It 'a wonderful oscillation !!! Surely you hear the big sky and rainbows machine but then what?
