This isn't intended as criticism but I wonder if the staff (NOT Lek) is allowed much interaction with the ellies. I absolutely appreciate the care they give them but other channels I watch, the staff shows unbelivable affection & tenderness toward the ellies. Seeing it plays my heary strings like a harp. These wonderful people seem to handle it more as a job though. There may be a logical reason but I don't know what.

3:29 - Mama ellie is swaying what I believe was her once chained foot. If so, she is thoroughly enjoying the feeling of her freedom and growing mental peace. 🙏🏽🤍🐘
@cacatr44953 жыл бұрын
Yes, she's very relaxed, and enjoying her life now. She knows she's free. She's still adapting to that, of course, and changing her mental state and habits, but she knows, and she's truly loving it. That leg/foot has to feel so light now, without that chain of the past. (Sometimes it is easier for animals to move into the present, than the people that love them. There are people that will rescue a dog and continue to feel badly for that dog for years, all the while the dog is actually moved on, and enjoying their life. We know it's only been about a month now for her, but she's showing her resiliency, and she's a joy to behold!)

This video was originally posted to their FB page on the 27 of Aug. On Aug. 30, they announced that Bunma now has a nanny, the expert Sri Nuan. We will soon be seeing that video here, and we can see there that Bunma responded quickly to Sri Nuan's calming presence and care of Chaba, by trusting her enough to walk a little distance away to explore the field by herself. She's even more relaxed, having the loving yet serious attention of Sri Nuan for her Chaba, and they said she's nursing with great flow, so Chaba is very well-fed now, and Bunma is eating a great deal. :) :) SO Good! Another BIG plus is that they've been walking her and Chaba in the early evenings when everyone else is eating dinner and tucked in for the night, even the dogs, so that the twilight fields were serene, empty and oh, so peaceful, as they showed her the land. This has met a BIG need for Bunma, the need to walk (which elephants do a great deal in the Wild and are designed for, having a powerful drive to walk and walk, which the chains of her past didn't allow), plus the fact that she has youthful energy to express/release, so all those evening walks have done her a world of good, such that her standing-eating sessions are now without all the past constant movements. Her needs are being met, and we can see joy on her face. :) :) She has entered her THRIVING life! :) :) For those having difficulty finding Lucy's petition, it is linked at her web-page which is leapforlucy.com Please, everyone, please sign it, Lucy needs to be at a warm sanctuary with the grass under her feet, able to rub herself on trees and swim freely, and be around other elephants, which she has NOT been since she was two years old, when she was captured from the Wild, which means she saw the captors kill her mother and family. She is now 46 years old, and barely has any contact with nature at all. Again, she has not been around another elephant for 44 years of her life, she's been completely isolated, kept in a tiny concrete cell, not able to even be outside under warm sunshine for most of the year, due to the cold climate where they have her. She needs warmth, other elephants and a natural life. Captivity has caused health ailments, she's in pain, she's under great stress and depressed, sad, lonely, and it is serious that she be released to a warm elephant sanctuary. That petition link is in a smaller rectangular image in the lower half of her web-page, one that has on it, in Red, the words '44 YEARS'. Click on that, and it will take you to her petition page. Please share. ~ One of the best ways we can support Lek's lifesaving efforts is to support Lek's Trunks Up program food bank. We can praise Lek's work all day long, but making that support real is what makes a difference. We need to remember that if Lek had not rescued Bunma and Chaba, that Chaba would have been one of those to succumb. Please share. jointrunksup.org/foodbank
