Please anyone that can do so, please consider donating to Elephant Nature Park. They really need our help right now. Fixing the damage and replacing medications, foods etc must be expensive. Thank you to ENP so much for the update and all the incredible, hard work you have done to keep all the animals safe and well despite the serious flooding. You are absolutely amazing! ❤

The loss of Ploy Thong and Fah Sai is most sad. But remember, it could have been so much worse! So glad everyone is safe!

Thank you so much for this update. What a testament to the dedication of everyone involved that the vast majority of animals were saved! Many blessings to all who helped! I will donate what I can to help ENP recover from this flood, and hope others will too. Elephant Nature Park is still the best animal sanctuary on the planet!🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

When forest is cleared/logged and/or burned, the water more quickly rushes down the hillslopes instead of being slowed by vegetation and absorbing into the soil, so the river fills more quickly and floods can be more catastrophic. This happens all around the world and is affecting habitat for many species. Wildlife populations globally are rapidly being decimated by habitat destruction. In the last 50 years we have lost something like 70% of wildlife populations. It is the saddest most depressing thing in my life.

The animals are so fortunate to have been rescued - I'm amazed at the number of cats they have! Bless you for all your hard work. The flood must have been horrendous. I wish I had some money to donate for supplies.

Thank you for the update. You're doing wonderful work and I'm happy to see everything is getting restored to normalcy. I donated last month to the rescue efforts via Gentle Giants and will donate again in November. Faa Mai and Ploy Thong are missed. When things have settled down a bit later in the year, I think many of us supporters would love to hear any plans you have to mitigate a similar event in the future, especially given that the location of ENP seems to be more vulnerable than even the adjoining areas to flooding. For example, moving to another location (would be a huge undertaking), building embankments along the river (not sure how effective that would be if the water could just find a way around it), building raised storage for perishables like medicines etc. Thank you and love and best wishes from Canada. 🇨🇦

Why is it that two elephants were lost during the floods? They mentioned that the water buffaloes can swim, but so can elephants. So what happened to them? 🤔

@@rhobot75 It's just so sad. I forgot they had at least two with issues with their hind leg(s). I hope one wasn't that one I saw that was emaciated with sores all over it. I think that one had a bad back right. Any chance they just got washed down stream but were able to get out further down or did they find them? I tried to listen to the one update, but the audio was very bad.
If you set your CC to English (or your language) it translates nicely and you can get all the information. God bless these animals and their wonderful care givers. Much love!

I know what you are saying and I do that often but this video does not give me that option😢 so far I have seen 3 videos that there has been a flood and there was damage. One video the sound was garbled and nothing was understandable. The other two speak this language with interpreters but none with the ability to turn on English. So frustrating and from reading comments it appears that there was some loss of life. Do sorry😢
@scrubjay9329 күн бұрын
@@carolynbrown8209 I was able to do it by turning the CC on and then clicking on the little gear next to it (settings) and selecting Thai >> English. Never done it before, but it worked. I heard they lost two elephants 😔
