I have made a bunch of these and your instructions are really great. The only things I suggest is sewing the front and back cover to the binding first and then covering the whole thing with one piece of interlining (after you’ve pressed it of course). It makes less bulk. Also, I don’t interline the sleeves or the lining. My covers are easy to turn and press and they look great. I use fabric glue to close the turn opening instead of hand sewing closed. Also, I don’t sew a pen loop on, but I do make a little pen pocket and sew it to the front after bonding the interlining. Everyone comments on the cute little pocket. 🎉

Awesome project, Rosie! That will make a nice Christmas gift. I once had a nifty, new little tiny pair of embroidery scissors, I found them on the floor one day with one handle chewed nearly off! Lastly, I got a new rotary cutter last week and wore a bandaid on my left middle fingertip all week.. 🙃 Thanks for another awesome pattern, I love the fabric! Jonee

Over the years, I've made quite a few covers. I have one suggestion so you don't need to leave a seam open or turn it through. Lay the outer cover on the table, face up, followed by the sleeves on each side, and then the inside lining right sides down. Make the inside lining LESS than the length of the body of the cover as it does not need to be caught in the seams and it will lay underneath the sleeves where the edges can not be seen. Sometimes I serge the edges of the inside lining that is under the sleeves. Then sew all the way around. Then just turn it right side out through the gap left behind the sleeve.
@conniehalstead54693 ай бұрын
If you please, I am trying to visualize this...do you have a video of these steps? I am going to make one from the directions above, but always willing to learn!
