Hi Diana, the facing gets attached at the top by sandwiching the collar in between the facing and the main fabric right sides together. Instead of at the shoulders, so when you turn the end of collar out it gives you a clean finish. Hope this makes sense

Great video. Downloaded the pattern thks for the recommend When I put this together before I put in the zip I'd do the hemband Barrito style, with the facing... Left the end a little open then sew in the zipper. ... It's a nicer finish that you do at the beginning.

I have tried to sew this pattern last year... OMG, i have had so many difficult and i was so sad, because i love so much to wear bombers (collar and zipper was an hard era for me, on this project lol). Love that fabric. I hope they still have it.😊 Tip for those without a cover stitch, leave the facing loose at the neck and shoulder until after you attach the collar. Use a small piece of binding to cover the back neck seam or make a back neck facing and attach the the shoulders at that point. I hope that made sense. 😅 🤣

I paid 16 dollars for a bomber jacket pattern. 😢. Diana I use that tape that is adhisive for the zipper. Stays in place. But thank you very much for the nice explanation.
