@@DoublePMediaYour recaps added much enjoyment to this delightful series for me. Thank you.

I didn't know about the Andreas-Atticus fan theory however I did like how Andreas worked with Susan at the end, helping her finish the investigation and then assisting her in the reveal of Aiden as the killer. He didn't do anything notable but it made me wonder if Andreas was going to serve as her investigating companion in the next book. As for Moonflower Murders, I also suspected Aiden from the beginning, but I did get tricked by Liam being Australian - I figure Anthony Horowitz did this on purpose. I did not suspect Madeline Cain and I was kicking myself with the revealed anagram in the end.

Y’know, I now know why the Magpie Murders series is so beloved, it has to do with the fact that there are two different murder mysteries which show the difference of one another. The Atticus Pünd series is set in the fifties, Agatha Christie, there’s no sex, drugs or any actual violence while Susan’s world, it is modern day, there’s violent deaths, swearing, people walking around with cigarettes and coughing because in the real world, people actually cough in smoke unlike in the Christie novels where the smoking is only mentioned in a passing phrase. The books aren’t just to show “oh look, a murder mystery within a murder mystery”, they actually show how different murder mysteries (or just actual murders in general) were different. Heck, I remember in Magpie, Charles tries to kill Susan instead of simply confessing then fricking burns the publishing house down and now in the book version of Moonflower, Aiden kills Locke (although he deserved it, he was a racist a-hole) and runs away only to throw himself under a fricking train, what a horrible way to go! It’s times like this that I now praise that I reread the Magpie Murders books because before I did, I only focused on the Pünd part because it was my cup of tea, I mean, a murder in a 1950s’ picturesque English village, heck yeah! But now as I reread the books, I find Susan’s world at least the same amount of importance as Pünd’s and now I know the perfect way to write my Magpie Murders fanfiction.

I suspected Aiden from the beginning. What really confirmed it was when we knew Melissa James' lover killed her.

Since I always find most American accents exaggerated and off in some way on most British shows, I didn't catch that as a clue. So many fun hidden clues in this season!

I had a hunch that Aiden had something to do with Frank’s death/he’s his lover when Frank handed down his keycard to Aiden in front of Cecily… like it was an invitation

Good catch, Detective

When I first read the book, I only thought that Madeline was the murderer due to a timeline part, this is Conway’s third Pünd novel and Fraser appears in the fourth so there had to be some way for Madeline to be removed from the picture in order for James Fraser to enter.

The theory about AP=AP(too much game of thrones notations to change now) add to Alans nasty reputation when you remember the anagram behind the name.

YES! Exactly

And Alan’s wife dated Andreas before she dated and married Alan.

Lol. We watch you for OMITB last season and now BUT had no idea you did Moonflower too. 🤦🤷🤣 but still trying our Marshall anagram tin foil hat theory. YES, we did figure out the many Moonflower mysteries, like Katie divorce and the hubby pretending he murdered to reverse roles with bossy wife, we knew Roxie was not Aiden's and all but the show was not as clear as the book nor Magpie on PBS imho. I andit we habdy gotten the fountain pen bit and It still could've been Derek in TV version stabbing Spencer since he was crushing on Melissa and Ms. Cain just wanting to solve it and be close to her favorite star and still keep the lions clues for LEOnard and Leo/ Aiden, BUT the anagram was the real clue to the connection between Aiden and Cain. To be fair the very first time I saw the Name Madeline Cain I thought two things (1) Last name already makes me suspicious due to Bible and (2) was she a tribute to Madeleine Cahn Of "CLUE" fame and also in Colombo movie and other mysteries! I still say YES to BOTH and Bravo to good writing!

Oh and I forgot we thought it odd back two seasons ago that Sazz PATAKI~Andres PATAKIS so now we have ANOTHER reason to suspect a fan in the writers room of OMITB , right???😊

ALAN WROTE 9 MYSTERY NOVELS. WE KNOW WHO THE KILLER WAS IN 4 OR 5 OF THE BOOKS. SO MORE BOOKS CAN BE WRITTEN

That first Atticus Pund book would be the one I'd be interested in

DID YOU SOLVE THE MYSTERY? What do you think of the Atticus = Andreas theory?
@temiigbaroola136Ай бұрын
Ugh Im gonna miss Sunday evenings watching this for clues. I wonder if Masterpiece will adapt his other series altho I’ve read some of those books and the subject matter is abit darker plus Horowitz would have to act in it as well not sure how he’d feel about that lol. Anywho we must do this again or I should catch up on OMITB. Will you be reviewing Knives Out 3 ? They should put that out in installments or at least a 2 parter what do you think?
@DoublePMediaАй бұрын
Won't be reviewing Knives Out 3 in a video format - but I would LOVE if they had a part one and part 2. I solved both Knives Out films because of their classic tropes that I recognized - I love the fun of those films!

If Atticus is Andreas, how will Susan find out? Alan is no longer with us

Great question. Perhaps in the new author's research, they discover Atticus was based on Andreas

Det. Locke may not care about who's guilty so much as... can he clear his paperwork
@familyadventuredays1203Ай бұрын
Really enjoyed the show but very much like season 1 I guessed the killer straight away. Season 1 I locked in my guess within the first 30 minutes. This season I locked in the killer as soon as he came out the door and moved Paris to a different room… it didn’t fit as the dad is the hotel owner and he’s being over shadowed by his daughters future husband. It was clear Paris was gay and I said he will know Alan and be a rent boy or similar..
@DoublePMediaАй бұрын
Great work Det. Can I ask: in Season 1 did you lock in on the real-life killer? Or the killer in the novel portion? Or Both?
