This is the best Olympic Games version in my book. There’s just so many assets referencing both games that makes this one feel a much more collaborative than the 2020 one which wasn’t bad by any means, but it did draw much less influence from other games

As a previous runner of this game (specifically the story "festival" mode as my main category) it's cool to see this on a big channel! I would definitely recommend this speedgame if you like wiimote precision (oxymoron I know), it's a lot of fun to grind the events with their cool tech in a complete run (as well as ILs). Would love if more people got into this game.

1. In Figure Skating, you get bonus points when the shake follows the beat of the music 2. That last-second Ice Hockey goal would not count in real life ice hockey. When the buzzer sounds, the puck has to be in the net 3. Those star coins in team Dream Events give everyone the Super Star effect when you collect the number equal to the number of team members 4. Dream Snowboard Cross takes place on Radical Highway from Sonic Adventure 2 5. Those special shots in Dream Ice Hockey all lost time, because they trigger a cutscene

lmao I did curling through my childhood and I'm just happy whenever I see it on screen pucks or not 😂 The reason why they are doing that is because it's using real world strats where the team going last wants to score a bunch of points but keep the middle open to keep their options open late into the game. oh, that "dream hockey" event reminds me of an old SNES game i played once, called something like "looney tunes basketball". all the characters had silly tricks they could do, like Bugs Bunny dressing up like a girl to distract everyone, Yosemite Sam shooting at the other character's feet, and so on.

In curling, you go first twice because you won the end! The loser of the previous end gets the hammer, which is just a fun name for the last rock thrown (stone is also acceptable but most people will say rock) in the end, precisely because it gives that team an advantage!

IMO in the Curling minigame, if you get first you want to make your puck stand at the rim of the blue circle exactly because the opponent will bump it out of bounds anyhow, that defends the center for your next attempts
