I'm so glad to see you back and making videos regularly again bro! There are honestly only a handful of channels that I check regularly for new content and yours is one of them. Still have the vinyl decal I won in one of your first giveaways. Don't have a vehicle nice enough yet to properly display it lol

Thanks, bro! I really appreciate your support 🙏 I simply didn't have the time I needed to continue making videos. I turned down a lot of offers and missed opportunities. Coming back, I was worried I let my time go and lost everything I had worked for, but it's people like you that make me realize there's more I can offer, and that I should keep moving forward! 💯

Try a coat of Rust-Oleum brush on paint that you shoot through the gun. That would answer all questions for those who might ask. I know its the same paint so it shouldn't matter but when you thin it you useing acetone and Maybe that might change something, but i really sont think it would. But would be an easy quick cheap video to make.

I love your videos. Keep pushing on brother. Hopefully business picks up for all of us soon and we can get back to what we enjoy. People don't realize name brand paint now can go up to 1500$ a gallon. I started using Rust-Oleum for all my home projects. I don't paint for anyone either. Even rattle can is high now

Iv never done an automotive clear over spray can but just messing around i did spray some gloss black then went over it with an anodized red and it gave it a deep dark cherry color from certain angles others it looks black and others its got kinda a strange brownish hue. Got a pic of it in my community tab. Thought it was pretty interesting

I'm going to paint one of my project cars using rustoleum (through a gun) with added catalyst and maybe even some japan dryer mixed in... then clear with 2k Speedokote or Finish1. Need to do some test pieces to figure out when to shoot the clear and whether or not I'll have to let the rustoleum cure and then scuff it. Great content. Thanks for sharing this stuff!

You can 2k clear over rustoleum and the old school lacquer paints with good success. A lot of guys are spotting in repairs with Dulplicolor perfect match lacquers and then clearing and it looks pretty good. No fry ups and good paint durablilty.

Just watched a guy paint a Pontiac Vibe with Tremclad. That's what Rustoleum in Canada. Then he sprayed a few coats of clear. He waited over night to spray the clear. Turned iut pretty nice. Tremclad / Rustoleum takes longer to dry.

Love the content, it's made me again consider attempting to paint my car. I'm pretty good at figuring out most stuff and have sprayed a little and pretty good at knowing the just enough point, the part that I'm not up to speed on is amounts, I don't know how much paint I need and don't want to run out and scurry to mix up more or waste a bunch and have to buy more if I need to respray an area. It's a 95 mustang gt convertible and in all actuality really doesn't seem to be a ton a area with that car. It's Lazer red 3 stage with a tinted clear mid coat but now you can easily get 2 stage which is probably what I'll get. Oh btw where did you get all those powders, it's so cool how just a bit has dramatic results, are they just samples? because from small amount you use for a fender like 1 teaspoon I would think you might be able to do a small car with one pouch? Even tho I'm staying with Lazer red so I don't have to do my jambs and stuff putting a little powder in to make it pop a little more Wouldn't jump out when you see the door jambs next to it.

I’ve been working on an old truck for better part of 10 years, I’m doing a patina paint job, all panels were stripped to bare metal and then primed and painted with rust oleum, some are about 5 years old, always been in a garage with temp like 60-80 degrees….once I put it all together I’m going to sand some and do some fake rust ….then I’m hoping I can clear coat it all with a flat clear….time will tell!

I bought some of that clear but haven't used it yet. My only advice is you might want to mic up because you have a pretty heavy Hispanic accect and you speak super soft so its a little hard to completely hear you. 🎉🎉🎉🎉 I also would love to see a follow up on this in about a month or two on hiw much the clear shrinks back because that coukd wrinkle pretty good.
