The FIDE World Rapid Championship is a 13-round Swiss tournament taking place from 26-28 December 2022 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The prize fund is $350,000, with a $60,000 top prize.
Players receive 15 minutes for the entire game, plus a 10-second increment starting from move one. A tie for 1st is decided by two 3+2 blitz games. If still tied, more 3+2 games are played until a player wins. Official website: worldrapidandblitz2022.fide.com

that's the main idea with the evan's gambit, strong center, active pieces and keeping black on the defensive for a while with intuitive ideas, the Ba3 and Qb3 lines are tricky to defend for black once white learns the right pawn moves in the center and really good for intermediate players

15:06 the thing about a move like that is when youre told "theres a way to defend here, find the move" you can fairly easily spot it, but if youre playing this game over the board thats not even a move youd check really, unless you follow the thought process of I MUST TAKE ON G3 for a perpetual, like its impossible to miss in classical but very much so in rapid

Nice game by Idani. I thought he was gonna let the win slip through his hands until the final move. He seemed to be letting radjabov back in with a draw or even a win after Qh3 near the end.. But seems like I was wrong and he knew what he was doing, always having tactical replies for Qxg3+ and blacks queen infiltration.

Is it a question of doing justice to the game when you have the gal (i.e. when you 'dare') to have us accept that on a 15 piece tablespace, that rook ends the game in such a way that they knight gets not one but three pass-free moves? You can bet you bottom pawn that our "friends" the engines have not being inept of AI. Start by correlating Kohonen maps to distill situational rules, then have some1 dress as a teacher and "teach" the Magnus's of this world how to play chess. Hans has a babe following that is there when he needs them too, so I'll take him over the quitter any day of the calendar. Yeah so did Quadaffi eh? Where I come from vacating your office for a continuous period of at least a week is mandatory and we don't call it a baguette. We call it a breadsaber.
