EDIT: As it turns out, although Athens Dash is the first course of the Feather Cup, internal data is implying that at one point, it was originally planned as the first track of the Spiny Cup, as its filename was csnw_65!

I think Athens Dash will be first in the Feather Cup for the simple reason that LA Laps would be the final in the Feather Cup, assuming it does use multiple sections instead of laps. HOWEVER - it's very possible that Vancouver will be brought back to Wave 5, and Athens (plus the last two cities) will be in Wave 6. replacing Athens is probably Piranha Plant Cove.

I was thinking Athens Dash will be similar to Vancouver Velocity in that its 1st variant takes place mainly outside the city, the 3rd is mainly in the city, and the 2nd is a balance of both. I also see the possibility of AD in Wave 6, but in a placement before VV, as I feel like the latter could possibly be a better finale track. It depends on how difficult and intricate AD will be when we see it in Tour. Glad to hear your thoughts as usual Albert!

@AlbertBoris I know I said this before, but at this point, if I have to hope for only 1 city that I'd love Nintendo to add into Mario Karts Tour and 8 Deluxe as a Mario Kart track, it needs to be... Rio de Janeiro Specfically taking place at nighttime during Carnaval, and featuring memorable / famous landmarks, locations, and festivities such as the Carnaval / Samba parades, Corcovado, Copacabana Beach, and more.

For me, until we get the layouts, I’m going to say that Athens Avenue (sorry, Athens DASH (why…)) is a Wave 6 track. Also, regarding not releasing city tracks in 8DX first, while that may be technically true, it is worth noting that the 8DX version of Sydney Sprint was released before the Tour version of Sydney Sprint 3, so keep that in mind for future city tracks.

While Athens does seem more like a finale track, I’m a bit skeptical on putting it there, since that would mean Vancouver Velocity would have to come in Wave 5 (which I don’t think it will) or they need to crank out two new city tracks before then. Anyways, great video once again Alberta!

Albert has the craziest predictions, I love it. I think it isn't the Spiny Cup track, because Nintendo would be stupid to release a city track from Wave 6 when we need 2 of them right now for Wave 5

What if we don’t have a third city. It may be unlikely but who knows. They could have also mad it so 3 city tracks will be in wave 6. Also, there is Greek Orthodox Easter is around this tracks release, so they probably put it out during this time because of that.

Good thing that the worst part of Athens Dash is its name, everything else from the little we've seen looks so cool, can't wait to race on it in Tour next week and later in 8 Deluxe! I absolutely think it will be in Wave 5 of the Booster Course Pass, Athens Dash, despite its boring name in my opinion, honestly fits into the Feather Cup, since I don't think it would fit into the Acorn Cup, because of Vancouver Velocity, and I don't think it would be in the Spiny Cup, unless the track is more difficult compared to the others.

This track definitely has my least favorite name too, since although it's not *technically* the worst of the non-alliterated names (at least Athens and Dash have similar intonations, as opposed to Amsterdam Drift and Bangkok Rush that aren't similar at all) there were so many other, better, alliterated options they could have chosen for the track. I'm just going to mentally call it "Athens Airway" in my head whenever I think about it lol. Other than that, the track looks amazing!

I’m thinking that this new course will be in Wave 6 while Vancouver and Los Angeles will be in Wave 5 so we can experience the 3 variants of Athens first with their appearances and 8 Deluxe debut properly spaced out without it feeling rushed

I think Los Angeles Laps, Athens Dash and the Madrid course will be in wave 5, with Vancouver Velocity and the unknown city course (between Paris Promenade and Singapore Speedway alphabetically, possibly Rome or Rio) in wave 6. If one of the city courses from wave 5 gets pushed back and a new non-city course takes its place, I would predict Madrid in wave 6.

I think the spiny cup city will be rio and it'll have a similar gimmick to sunset wilds Lap 1 would be at day in the beaches, Lap 2 would be at sunset in cristo redentor And lap 3 at night in carnaval

Personally, I think they’ll swap the feather cup city tracks with cherry cup so that feather cup will start with Athens and end with Piranha Plant Cove and Cherry cup will have LA and Vancouver which are both west coast North American cities.

I dont see the track to get in the pass YET since we still have about 3 more months for the next wave and we still dont know IF 1 or 2 of the Tour tracks in wave 5 will still be in that same wave because we COULD get new city tracks that WERENT datamined or leaked in Tour could appear in Tour and than later in MK8 Deluxe before Wave 5 is revealed.

I agree that it will be placed at the start of a cup. It looks like the first two variants are quite connected, which will likely mean each lap will be at the same starting line. Every track that possesses different sections at different start points has been at the end of a cup. Mount Wario, 3DS and 64 Rainbow Road, and Singapore Speedway. Since we know LA laps will likely also be a section track, we can likely assume it’ll end one of the cups.

It is interesting to see this track finally being revealed, and certainly good for you predicting it! I actually think it should be the first track of the Cherry Cup, since it’s possible that it could be changed. There’s also 2 additional cities left, and also figuring out how the last 16 courses will be spread out in the 2 waves. I also hope that the course gets renamed in the European and British versions, along with Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, as Athens Acropolis, like some have predicted, or, in my opinion, Athens Dashing Acropolis, or Avenue, whichever works for any of us. Once again, a fantastic analysis, and also the half-pipe appearing is definitely going to be intriguing to see how it works here! Hope to see you next time! 👋

athens dash really is one of the best city tracks so far, it looks sooo good and, especially, it's very awesome to see a different kind of city track atmosphere! although the "concrete" cities are really good, i prefer the one's that include seperate driveways as well, like amsterdam's tulip fields and canal, vancouver's path through the forest and LA's beach section. and seeing that athens will have a lot of that kind of stuff, i am incredibly hayped for it! (although i hope that there is at least a small portion that traverses through streets, because then my love for variety in a track would be satisfied) personally i think that athens dash will still appear in wave 5. it definitely has its epic portions and is worthy to be a final track, but (if nintendo does it logically, which definitely doesn't need to be the case, seeing that it's called the spring tour instead of the athens tour) they have the knowledge about what cities they created, and seeing that there will probably be only 2 cities left, it would feel weird to not have the most ambitious city track as the last one. so i believe that there will be a surprise city as the last one (madrid coming before that) like rio that would fit the final cup :)

I personally predict that Athens will come out as the first track of the Feather cup and the reason I’d say the first and not the last of the cup is because it seems the cities at the end of each cup will have multiple lap gates. (Singapore and LA Laps) I think that its jolly atmosphere and climatic final lap is indicative that the city tracks will ramp up in ambition and theming as well. But I think that Athens being the city of the Spiny Shell cup also works as well.

I think that this track would suit the start of the Acorn Cup, although it may be placed in the Spiny Cup if the track layout on laps 2 and 3 are complex. The music fits well being a welcoming song, yet also being a great song to act like a finale, which would suit being in Wave 6, as it is the last wave.

I like your predictions but there are some things that don't make sense imo.. Mario Circuit 2, why? We got Mario Circuit 3 in wave 2, I don't think we'll get another Mario Circuit in the same setting, even if the SNES tracks aren't a big selection. Mario Circuit and Donut Plains are excluded. Dino Dino Jungle and DK Mountain will never both come. First of all, they both share the same music Yes, Waluigi Pinball is an argument, but it was definitely an exception because it's the biggest fan favorite track of all time, so DK Mountain doesn't even remotely live up to the hype. Also, DK Mountain is basically just a DK Summit without snow. Exactly the same track concept and the DK Mountain system is also reflected several times in Athens Dash. Dino Dino Jungle will make the leap because it is definitely more unique, and we definitely have enough DK tracks. Instead, there will most likely be the leaked bathroom track

@@JS-ir4sh I chose Mario Circuit 2 based on the pattern in each wave, waves 1 and 2 had a circuit while wave 3 didn't, and wave 4 had a circuit like wave 1 so there's the possibility wave 5 will have one like wave 2 did. And as for DK Mountain and Dino Dino Jungle, there theming is similar and same music but how many snow tracks have we gotten in the DLC, and music isn't all that much of a deal breaker. And I believe DK Summit and DK Mountain are different enough to warrant both in the DLC. Their names may be similar and both be on a mountain, but DK Summit is a calm adventure down a ski slope while DK Mountain is a hectic trip down a volcano with falling rocks. Plus I couldn't see any other GCN track fitting in the DLC since Mushroom Bridge is pretty much Shroom Ridge and too simple for waves 5 or 6, and Mushroom City is a city and we've gotten enough of those. And plus I believe that bathroom track is a nitro battle course for Tour.

@@JS-ir4sh Really nice predictions, the only ones I don't see are the bathroom track and GCN Mushroom Bridge. Don't get me wrong, Mushroom Bridge would be cool to see, but if it was added it would've been in waves 1 or 4 because its just too simple for the latter waves, and its pretty much just Shroom Ridge, only difference is the bridge. I'd swap it for GCN DK Mountain. And as for the bathroom track, I personally believe it'll be a Tour battle mode nitro course instead of a track. Overall though I really like these predictions.

I can see it happening in Wave 6 but I’m still hoping for a Wave 5 release instead since the track just looks really fun to race on just from like the 10 seconds of footage we have of it atm. If we really do get Madrid and Rio as the last two city tracks, I feel like Madrid for certain would appear in Wave 5 but depending on how Rio works, I feel it’ll either be that or Athens Dash in Wave 6.

Athens dash really worries me, America has only 3 cities the last one being LA laps. Asia has 3 cities the last one being Bangkok rush. Europe has 5 cities now! And with Madrid coming, we will have 6! Any where else has 1 city, last one being Sydney sprint. Next since Amsterdam Drift we have been getting no alterations Amsterdam Drift makes sense because Dam and Drift Bangkok rush should swap with Tokyo blur so we get Tokyo rush and Bangkok blur. Athens dash, why not Athens Adventure or accelerate. Now my predictions (totally random) I think toad camera man, can take photos when he tricks and send them to your photo library. I predict that Athens dash will have only 2 variants to be unique and in 8DX on lap 3 you will drive lap 1 backwards, like Paris Promenade.

Technically Sydney Sprint 3 debuted in the MK8 BCP before Tour, so they’re not afraid to switch up the scheduling if needed (though Sydney Sprint 1 and 2 had been in Tour for a while). Sky High Sundae and Yoshi’s Island made it to MK8 first (making them the only MK8 debuts to show up in Tour), whereas Piranha Plant Cove came to Tour this winter but hasn’t come to MK8 yet. (Plus there are those MKT nitro tracks like Ninja Hideaway and Merry Mountain that debuted years ago in Tour that aren’t called Tour tracks … maybe because they’re not cities?) The whole thing is confusing. 🤪

Here is why Athens will be in wave five. As we all know, there are going to be three city courses in wave five. If Athens released in wave six, Nintendo would have to make two more cities between now and the reveal of wave five.

Los Angeles Laps could easily be a multiple-lap course. Just move the starting line to the road where Los Angeles Laps 1 and 2 meet, and have this be the route: Lap 1: Los Angeles Laps 1 Lap 2: Los Angeles Laps 3 Lap 3: Los Angeles Laps 2

I’m sad they decided to wait until the very end of BCP to give us Vancouver Velocity, which in my opinion is the best city track in Tour: gorgeous vistas on the Capilano suspension bridge, bright oceanside Gastown cityscapes, ice hockey at Rogers Arena, and best of all, the fresh, pulse-pounding soundtrack that is my favourite MarioKart song of all time. Why do you make us wait, Nintendo? 😂

Vancouver Velocity has autumm trees and snowy trees and areas, the streets has reflection of water and leaves from the autumm trees. The snowy mountains and the ice stadium, also the aurora. Vancouver Velocity screams Wave 6.
