this video completely resonates with me as an upcoming 4th year IT student. napaluha na lang ako particularly don sa running out of time kasi sobrangg totoo. when i was on my second semester of 3rd year back in 2021, i had to stop due to pandemic and also because of financial reasons. with those times na i was out of university, aside from having a side hustle (baking cakes) is i had the opportunity to upskill and self-study web development. i was being kind to myself back then when i was self-studying na yung tipong naglaan talaga ako ng one year para lang sa html and css and roughly a year para naman sa javascript (since 3 semesters akong out of university that time). i wasn't able to dive deep sa react kase i was planning na on enrolling again at my university altho i had a glimpse of it with the react course i was taking (which unfortunately hindi ko na natuloy). now that i'm back in college sobrang lost ko pa din and pakiramdam ko hindi pa din enough yung skills ko. to add pa yung mga nababasa ko online about sa experiences and testimonies ng other grads and career shifters sa pagjjob hunting na hindi sila makahanap ng work huhhhu (inabot pa yung iba ng months to years), yung market is cutthroat and matindi ang competition. now i'm scared na baka ganun din ang kaharapin ko. sobrang anxious ko na napapaisip akong mag-aim muna to a lower barrier or lower skilled jobs (heck even a labor job). i was thinking of it support or help desk muna. feeling ko talaga nauubusan na ko ng panahon and i feel like incompetent pa din ako. 😭

Hi ate Darla! I'm a first year BSCS student and gusto ko lang magpasalamat sa paggawa ng video na to. I just passed my coding activity using C kahit alam kong hindi nagwowork yung code ko as intended, pero halos 8hrs na akong nag-aactive thinking and I just can't push myself any further pa. So after watching this video nabuhayan ako lalo na nung narinig ko yung sinabi mo about failures, that it will only make us grow stronger and better. Bscs 1st year Irregular College Student. Same po tayo ate nung summer I started to explore programming then I thought na sa dami kong natutunan ay parang hindi ako sure if tama ba itong pinag aaralan ko or ito ba yung some structures to learn for my desire career in the future. Therefore I keep learning regularly even hindi pa ako gaano kagaling and I saw some of programmers na mas malayo na ang narating is I never compete to reach them.

Computer Science din po course ko yr 2019 pero hindi ko na kinaya yung 2ndsem 2ndyr kase naiisip ko na kaagad na PANO AKO SA THESIS IF INDIVIDUAL (KASE SOBRANG BILANG KAMI SA KLASE 8 KAMI KASE KAPAG 3rd 4th yr UNTI UNTI NA NAWAWALA AYON NAISIP KO PANO KUNG INDIVIDUAL NA KAMI THESIS SOBRANG HIRAP MGA CREATE NG PROGRAM AND DOCU). and then inagahan ko na talaga pagshift ng course. I'm a ComSci Graduate and already working for some years now. Imposter syndrome is normal kahit working ka na. Wag ka lang magpakain on it. I can say fake it till you make it and eventually marerealize mo na di mo pala siya finefake pero kaya mo naman pala talaga. Happy coding !

This might be out of topic but have you figured out yet where or what branch of computer science you’ll be focusing on like web programming, data science, cloud admin and etc? If yes then why that branch? I’d like to know a fellow students thoughts. I’m really having trouble trying to figure out where to start my career once I finish.

Ate bat ganyan ka?😭 I took this course kahit di hindi sya and first/second choice ko. BSCS has never been sa top choices ko Pero I was a victim of "Medically unfit to my desired course" time passes by and nakita ko ang blog mo ate noon and it made me realized na to take a practical course since I don't know what to take anymore. Ate wag ka nang sad, nagiging sad din ako😭

Hi! Iba-iba kasi tayo defintion ng “best” eh kaya I don’t think it’s appropriate to do a video about it. My advice would be to do research na ano bang university pasok sa budget, location, perks, preference, etc. mo. I highly recommend checking out Edukasyon.ph nandun lahat ng hinahanap mo like the tuition fee, about the university, reviews, etc. Hope this helps! :))
