I guess my husband and I were ahead of the “trend” back in 2016. We had 21 guests attend our destination wedding at The Wynn Las Vegas and it was amazing! So much more than what I could have hoped for! Didn’t have to cheap out on anything since it was only a few people and we had the opportunity to really engage with everyone over that fun filled weekend. I’m definitely a fan of the micro wedding movement!

I love the idea of microwedding. I'm a shy person and I would love to have only the people that I really consider close to me there. That I know they can really understand and share my happiness. Like.. I don't really care to have my uncle that doesn't talk to me, just because he's "family"! I enjoy reaction videos, they are really helpful

My wedding we just had on October 26, 2020. Ended up being a "micro wedding" we ended up having about 50 guests, but did all the normal wedding things! Mainly because we were planning on having about 100 guests but due to covid a lot decided to not come. I think it definitely is a good option! Even though our wedding was small it didn't feel like it! It was intimate but filled with love and people who wanted to be there!

I love this video. I am guess I am having a "micro wedding" by this definition. My wedding count is about 28-30 people. What I am finding is that there are still ALL the same steps (which are many to plan any typical wedding), all the same vendors but just a smaller group who attend. I chose this route since everyone I am inviting is out of town since we recently moved to NV. So, we are inviting everyone to stay at the hotel for the week-end.(also the wedding & reception will be at the hotel, making it very easy on everyone). We are inviting everyone to a Friday night "Welcome" dinner. The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour & reception dinner, the next day and on Sunday morning a "Good-bye" brunch. This type of wedding would be completely out of my budget if it was a larger wedding group. Since this being a micro wedding, we will pay for the hotel rooms for our guests & I'll be giving them all guest bags in their rooms. Yes, I love the idea of having our closest friends & family, keeping it very intimate & a much smaller scale.

My fiancé and I were looking forever for a venue to accommodate our smaller guest count via a bar or BnB but the city we were looking in is older and every venue we looked at was not wheelchair accessible which meant my mother wouldn’t be able to get into the freaking venue. Ended up having to go with a traditional venue and we are going to have to get strategic with table placement in order to fill out the space. You don’t realize how inaccessible a lot of places are unless you are personally effected by mobility concerns.

I used to work at a BBQ spot in downtown Tulsa, Ok . One of our coworkers walks in one evening all dressed up followed by about 15 other people...his friends just did a flash wedding and were hoping to do a reception at our place. It was a pretty slow night so we made it happen. We moved a few tables together and pushed a few against the wall to make a dance floor. We allowed them to play their own music on our sound system. Turns out they were dance instructors! And they were really into swing dancing!! It was awesome! They tipped well too so that was appreciated as a server. But it was such a crazy exciting moment in my former server career. If you look into Tulsa, Ok they have a place called the "Center of the Universe". They did their ceremony there with a friend who was an officiant. And walked over to the Blue Dome District where the former Back Alley Blues and BBQ restaurant resided I imagine it to have been such a fun and joyful day for the couple, and I was honored to have been apart of it

I had sort of a micro wedding, although I wouldn't call it a wedding at all. Just the ceremony and a lunch afterwards, with 20 people. Why? 3 days before my wedding, our "beloved" government banned all social events (weddings, baptisms, anniversaries, birthdays etc.). So we had to reorganize quick, change the time of our ceremony (because they also limited restaurants to close at 23.00 so we couldn't do the normal night time gathering) and start uninviting people. It was heart-breaking. We only had our parents, siblings and very very close friends. We were not allowed to actually have a party, so no dancing at all, not even our first dance, no hugging, no traditions, absolutely nothing that makes a wedding. We were allowed to just reserve a few tables with 4 people each, distanced from each other in the restaurant, and order from the menu. I hated it. It will be the biggest regret of my life and something I will never get back.
