I had a very condensed morning wedding. Ceremony was at 11 and the reception was noon-3 at the restaurant across the street. We did not have any dancing, toasts, etc. It was a little stressful to plan, but ended up working out beautifully.

would you mind posting your timeline? My daughter is getting married and she is probably going to be doing a condensed morning wedding, too! We are looking at 10am-2pm which sounds sooo short!

@@HeyKimmi One of our big time savers was having the hair stylist meet us at the church at 8 am and doing my own makeup before even getting to the church. We didn't have a super structured timeline but we did a first look/wedding party pictures/immediate family pictures from about 8:45-10:30, short ceremony from 11-11:30, just 4 large group photos of 4 sides of the family (which we gave them a heads up about) immediately after the ceremony outside the church, and then a low key pizza social at the brick oven pizza restaurant across the street from 12-3. We didn't do any speeches/dancing/etc., but just had the photographer follow us around for a little while to take photos with guests and cutting the cake. Good luck. I'm sure your daughter's wedding will be beautiful!

Lol a year out I had like 30 lines 🤣. The timeline was the very first thing I did after we booked our venue so I would know what all I want to happen in the day and could budget by it.

Hair and makeup arrives at 9am. Starts at 915-1:00pm. Photographer arrives at 1pm Caterers arrive at 130. Dress goes on about 115 First look at 145 Ceremony starts at 205 Ceremony ends about 220. Reception immediately follows. Backyard wedding. No sit down meal, appetizers only. No dance. The reception is simply a cocktail hour....stretched out to a few hours. No live music. ....any advice. I'm 33 days away...

Though I plan to get a wedding planner, I will be trying to make my own for my own peace of mind and to consider certain things like first look or sunset photos....do a part 2 but don’t have Jamie put two of her own with the same font in it 😆 dead give away for me 🙈

I'm having a morning/mid day wedding. I'm really curious what a timeline for that kind of event would look like. Most wedding timelines I find to look at are for evening wedding. My ceremony starts at 11:30am

My wife and I did a midday wedding! Ceremony at 12, reception 2-6. Had street tacos served at 2, so for guests it was like a late lunch. Our venue was a state park that closed at sunset, so we had to have everyone out by 6. We totally made it work, and then we just went out with the photog right after our grand exit for sunset photos!

Loving this video! I do have a question: My wedding venue has a special "wedding cottage" where we can get ready but does not allow us access until 12:00. We are doing a first look and our wedding starts at 5:30. All events are located on the property within close proximity with each other. Is it too tight of a schedule to fit everything? We will have a day of coordinator, so questions to ask her to make sure this fits would be helpful as well. Thank you!

Easy peasy! You can do hair & makeup at the hotel, and then just do final touch-ups and getting dressed at the cottage. SUPER common when venues have onsite prep rooms like this!

@JamieWolfer Im interested in your 'master plan' schedule maker you mentioned, but thats really the only thing i need help with. guys no offence to your profession intended and sorry if this sounds rude, I'm sure you're both incredible! but this video reinforces that a wedding planner really wasn't for me. I'm on timeline n.2 in the video and I had to pause to tell you if anyone had put a schedule in 5-10min increments of my wedding day in front of me, I would have had a panic attack. Some of us like things to be chill and flow naturally, and don't have a ton planned on our wedding day. My timeline looked like the first one that the bride put together (surprise!) and it worked perfectly. The only things people needed to know was when the shuttle bus was leaving from where, and at what time to be at the ceremony venue 😂

Okay question from germany: is it normal to only include like 1-2 hrs for dancing and the weddings ending so early ???? Here we usually have weddings until 3-6 am !! and therefore have from 9pm on dancing for HOURS! Inbetween dancing of course garder toss/bouqet and at MIDNIGHT the wedding cake. But it just seems to me that american weddings are all "tick of the timeline" and not much fun and free time !? Is this usual or just in your examples? OR: is there always an afterparty that doesn't appear in these lists? a german timeline is often: 2-3 pm ceremony 3-5 cocktail hour and inbetween photo time 6-8 dinner, desert & speeches 8.30 first dance- party time 10 pm tosses / games midnight cake and then party until late Greetings from germany :)

Great question!! After parties or late night receptions are pretty common, but definitely not all the time. Your guess was correct though: they just don't generally have the vendors stay that late.

Thank you for this video. It was very entertaining. I am currently planing my wedding but as I couldn't find any example timelines I am relying on the venue, the photographer and my guts. It is very difficult to find timelines for two ceremonies on one day, which is very common in Austria. Do you have any advice? Actually we have a ceremony at 11am with our family, after that a short Lunch Break with about 1 hour for fotos and then at 2pm the next ceremony with family and friends with a shorter time for fotos. Luckily everything happening is in the same location and only half an hour away from our home.
@AmariProductions
@AmariProductions 4 жыл бұрын
Yes! We have wedding days where there are two ceremonies. It usually just looks like needing to add some additional time with your photo and video so they can get there earlier in the day, and then starting getting ready earlier as well. Keeping that break between the two ceremonies to a few hours is good. Your guests can eat lunch and then head in for the second ceremony, while you get your photos done!

I was thinking my timeline I created (position of bride) would be hard to follow, but to be honest my line of events are easy to read, and there is a good amount of time for these said events. Maybe I should become a planner? 😳 I do love organizing things, but running them and making things come into action might need to be worked on.

The second timeline missing the time the officiant walks in and makes the opening announcement, and also no time for games with the bride and groom or guests at the reception very boring wedding. Normally is good for the officiant to introduce himself and take a minute to tell the guests what the bride and the groom would like for the guest to do during the ceremony ie: no phone photography ext.Just saying please correct me if I am wrong.

@@AmariProductions ive got mini timelines within my timeline going on, like who is supposed to be doing what, because more than one thing will be going on(music, food prep, people shuffling, photos, video, getting ready)theres people that are designated for those things and they should know when their "cue" is and also know what else might be going on concurrently...but im glad its not considered "too much" in your industry And seeing that most of the people helping put on my wedding will be friends and family i think they could use all the information and direction i can give them beforehand and in a written format...
