I highly doubt that Belle and the team (including Beau) would take offense to being compared to Walter Cronkite. It's that level of unbiased reporting of the facts that attracted.... well..... pretty much ALL of us to follow this channel. Those of us old enough to remember Cronkite, "get it" in regard to your comparison. Back then, THAT is what "reporters" did... they "reported" facts of a situation, and the viewer made up their mind how to feel about it. I was born in the late 60s, and "grew up" in the 70s. Being raised by my grandmother, the news was on the television every day at the same time. They didn't give a warning before showing graphic content from Vietnam. They gave the story of the day, showed us video/images of what happened, and I guess just hoped that young children weren't watching? Not that it mattered, because we were. And we were paying attention to it, because (partially) the television set was our baby-sitter in that decade. That's just how it was back then.

@Jedi_VigilanteКүн бұрын
I would add that while France "officially" helped as a nation (along with Spain and the Netherlands), the colonies received help from tons of other nations unofficially. @@ninemoonplanetone of the central methods employed by those that wish to influence how others perceive what they're saying to them by including only that which leads to a desired outcome. If all relevant points were included, then the audience most likely would have a much different understanding of the story. Lying By Omission, or Sin by Omission is so widespread and common because it's usually successful, at least in that moment if not in the long-term. It removes the real sense of wrongdoing by affording someone 'Plausible Deniability' when purposely misleading (lying to) others. There's a reason why the phrase, "The truth, the WHOLE truth, and NOTHING but the truth", Is so specific. It's for anyone who doesn't know that even half-truths are still lies. But even swearing under oath doesn't stop people from perjuring themselves if they think they can get away with it, despite facing a preponderance of overwhelming evidence to contrary.

I didn't know about the smart-ass emoji response 😂 I love Ukraine more and more every day. I lived in a 2-flat in Chicago with the owners' elderly mother living on the bottom floor. She and her husband had moved to Chicago as refugees during the Cold War. There's a lot of Ukrainians there who did. She was not a nice person, unlike many Ukrainians I'd met, but she had a stubborn streak a mile wide and didn't put up with getting pushed around. Her daughters said it was very much a cultural trait. If Ukraine had had the military capabilities during early Soviet expansion to fight them off, they would have. They have a strong cultural identity, similar to most Eastern European and Slavic countries. Any one who knows Ukraine should have seen this coming.

The bomb seemed to have been taped to the roller and detonated by mobile signal 🤷🏻♀. By surviving witness (the driver of the General's car), the deceased General knew he was "hunted" ... She also reported, that a supervisor of the Dombas-POW-camp was killed last week. To paraphrase Viggo Tarasov in th efilm 'John Wick' : Ukraine will come for you and you will do nothing, because you can't do nothing. I once watched the SBu take out a chemical warfare guy with a scooter ... an electric scooter ! .

I wonder if this kind of thing is a concern for oh say, a new presidential administration taking office in America. I know I’d be freaked out if it were me in that position. 😱

Russia is crying about another country attacking their personnel on home ground. Let’s remember Novachoc, in Britain, a woman died and a lot of people were very ill. No empathy. Get out of Ukraine, problem solved.

It was a poorly executed operation by a pair of Muppets. They carried it on a commercial flight and after the botched attack dumped it.

Those grenades were deliberately dropped in shelters with one exit. Imagine being in a large closet and have CS gas bow up in it. It can be extremely harmful, even deadly if more than one are used. Yes, this IS how some people think "winning" is. As for those mysterious changes of life, I noticed quite a few windows on higher floors do seem to be loose. People may lean on them and take the fast elevator down. (Dark...humour).
