The VERY high cost of solar energy in the US is actually largely due to financing companies in the US that drove up the cost for solar installation companies with the cost then passed to the consumers. The actual cost of the equipments (panels and storage devices) produced by China are actually quite low. Many more Americans are now purchasing the equipments direct from Chinese websites (just google if you want more details). We Americans have no one to blame but our own Gov't that has chosen to act in the ways against the interest of the American general population. Trump will do even more damages as he doesn't believe in Climate risk (the man does not even know how to use a computer!). Very sad.
