The Supreme Court should face reconfirmation hearings every few years if not periodic impeachment hearings. In all honesty, there should be an impeachment week every non-inaugural year of a presidential term as well. I think the week after a State of the Union address would be perfect for it. No one in government should ever be untouchable or above the law. Even the slightest hint of questionable ethics should bring down the full weight of impeachment.

Another thing to remember re ethics is that the Supreme Court ruled in 2024 that officials can accept any gift, monetary or otherwise, as a reward for services rendered. I.e. a bribe after the fact is now legal, and has no limits. So, a justice (or anyone else holding any office) can perform an act that favors an individual or corporation and receive a million dollars, a house, a jet, a diamond tiara, or whatever. So, it's fine that Clarence Thomas got a $300,000 RV and lavish vacations for ruling in favor of his billionaire friend. By this same ruling, it's fine for a sheriff or a Senator, or a game warden, or whomever, to accept payment after the fact for acting favorably toward someone.
