JJ! That sounds amazing. A zine of short fiction. Less than 20 pages, but more than 3 pages. From a collection of writers and fans from all over the franchise. It would help flesh out the universe as well as go a long way to bolstering the health of the community.

Concerning Tellarites and "offensiveness," I'll note that quite a few 21st-century Human cultures allow joking insults at the opening of a social interaction. You can certainly see it in northern European-American culture, even if it's not quite as in-your-face as we saw on _Enterprise._ In my headcanon, Tellarites are every bit as logical as Vulcans in their own way, but their way allows what we call _ad hominem_ attacks, provided that you can demonstrate that your opponent's argument was, in fact, faulty. It's a kind of public shaming that is supposed to encourage more rigorous thinking. I've even wondered about a Tellarite system of formal reasoning that assigns logical values to emotions, which would *_drive the Vulcans completely nuts._*
