Yes it's called early 90's Gimbal Lock CGI fixed i the early 90's with quaternions.

he twists just fine. use your brain. from back he twists clockwise. from front it looks counterclockwise.

as a DP or a director, i think they could have seen his eyes are cocked during the takes. The cockeyes could be easily fixed in Post production when they were compositing him into the background. It's just puzzling why they didn't do it.

I think we'll be surprised when the movie comes out! Comparison wise it isn't fair since we're comparing 5 seconds of flying footage from a tv spot to a full-on scene from the Man of Steel movie. But I can see why everyone has eyes on this. We all have high expectations, and any sort of funny looking footage is going to cause worry
