The Akarnae series has been one of my favourite YA Fantasy series for FOREVER!! I feel that it's so underrated and the series is so incredibly well plotted!! I know so many people know the Prison Healer trilogy but the Medorian Chronicles is so much better in my opinion!!! I love seeing that you picked it up! The last three books are so incredible as well as the novella's that come after as well! Hope you love continuing the series (if you do) xx

I read “Ready or not” after seeing you read it in one of your previous videos, and I loved it!! Definitely a 5 star feeling because I was so immersed in the world and loved the characters (probably a 4.75 star for me)

I am obsessed with the medorean chronicles (Akarnae series) the plot definitely gets better as you continue on! The third book is crazy 😂

I felt the exact same way reading Akarnae. The series definitely finds its own voice/direction in the third book Draekora, which, in my opinion, MAKES the series!

Heyyyy! 🥰 I’m pretty sure Lynette Noni (author of Akarnae) is a Christian! she spoke at my church a few years ago and explained how the magical library symbolises God! The third book in the series is my favourite!

My favourite book for October was The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides. If you have not read it yet but like mystery/thrillers with a jaw-dropping twist, I recommend it.

I will say I was also a bit underwhelmed by the first book in the Veronica Speedwell series but decided to continue. I do think the rest of the series is better than the first installment. I finished the 5th book recently - it’s such a comfort series and I’m obsessed with the couple!

I love the Akarnae series, but I agree that the first book's writing wasn't the best. I do think her writing improved in the following books. What I loved about it was just the vibes of this world. I became obsessed with this series as I got further in. I hope you do, too!

I'm glad you mentioned the pregnancy trope in Ready or Not. It sounds like an interesting plot, but with going through infertility and multiple unsuccessful ivfs, I think I'll pass. I think I'll be too emotional through it.
