I have to disagree with the Emily Wilde rec. I LOVE Emily Wilde, but it very much has a winter setting. Snow and cold and mist are mentioned so much and important for the plot. I personally would recommend to read it in winter😹

Rach, The Dead Romantics is soooo gooood!!! I felt the same way you feel about it before reading it, but back in November I was in the mood for a cozy atmospheric romance and wow I was not expecting it to be so beautiful!! The "ghost" aspect is done so well and to me, the whole book felt like a love letter to life, to books, and to love. It was amazing and I can't believe I ever had such low expectations for it !!
