Hi Cuma, it is impossible to say; we are not ICA. However, we have seen cases where LTVP takes months for ICA to give the final approval/rejection. You can always contact them to inquire about your application, but we do not suggest doing so for your case yet, since you have been waiting for more than a month. Best of luck!

Hi, Congratulations of getting your PR approved! As long as you are in employment, you are eligible to sponsor your spouse and child. This is because you will automatically be contributing to CPF once you are a Singapore PR.

Hi there, while we do not suggest risking it, yes you are allowed to leave Singapore while you wait for your LTVP results. You need to think of the logistic implications to your case, like who will receive the IPA letter, do you need a visa to come back, recent covid restrictions that vary by country, etc. LTVP results should not take long, common sense dictates better to wait for it in Singapore, but every situation is different, only you can decide.

Hi. More power to your vlog! We are now currently here in singapore for vacation with our 2kids. My wife is working here as a nurse. We entered singapore September 12, 2023, when we visited malaysian on October 5, and re entered the singapore on October 7, the immigration gave me and our 2kids another 30days of stay here in singapore. So instead of going home in the philippines today, October 11, supposed to be our 30th since we entered september 12,. We decided to extend our stay here. Our last day base on SG arrival card will be on November 6, 2023. My question is there a chance for us, me and our kids to stay longer, longer than on November 6, 2023. What should we do so that the immigration allow us to stay here until new year. Or should we exit again? If possible. Or might the immigration red flag us already so that they would might allow us to re enter if we exit again. Or do we need to exit longer to other country, in order theimmigration allow us again to reenter,and how many days should we exit? Thank you so much in advance!

Hi Carleen, It will be hard for us to say if your application will be approved, however, if you meet the requirements for a Work Permit (WP) holder and if your company has the quota for WP employees, there shouldn’t be a problem in getting the WP.

@@carleenroseanthony2807 Hi Carleen, You will be eligible for LTVP+ if you meet either of the criteria: 1. You and your husband have at least 1 child who is a Singaporean from your marriage OR 2. If you do not have a Singaporean child together, you must be married to your husband for at least 3 years. If you meet the criteria, then you can apply for LTVP+. And yes, you can apply 6 months before your LTVP pass expires.

Hi Luqiora, A Singapore citizen and non-resident couple are strongly encouraged to complete their PMLA before marriage. The objective of PMLA is to accurately assess your eligibility for an LTVP after marriage. However, a good PMLA outcome does not guarantee the approval of an LTVP. The non-resident spouse should apply for an LTVP after marriage separately. So, yes, the sequence is correct. Ensure that the information submitted in the PMLA is correct, to ensure a more accurate assessment of your LTVP eligibility! Hi Vamanan, She must be legally married to you first to get a long-term visit pass that allows her to stay in Singapore for extended periods. However, marriage does not guarantee that your foreign spouse would have automatic rights for a long-term stay in Singapore. We encourage you to complete your Pre-Marriage LTVP Assessment (PMLA) before marriage. Consider sponsoring an LTVP for her if you two do get married. But because you, the sponsor, have retired and is unemployed, there might potentially be a high chance for a rejection. Relatives cannot apply to be a sponsor. Hi Aleena, If you are pursuing your masters in Singapore, you will most likely get a student pass. Upon post graduation, we believe that your school will assist you in getting your work pass to work in Singapore. LTVP is usually for a Singapore PR to bring in a legal spouse, children or stepchildren to Singapore.

Hey Elena, we just submitted our documents for MOM approval for our ROM, it's just been 2 weeks, I read on the website that it takes 4 weeks. My partner is a WP holder and we're anxious about the outcome.. don't know what the result would be and what's the next step and how long after that we'll be allowed register our marriage. We're planning to move overseas for work but we need to be married so she can come with me under spouse visa. Really nervous bout the outcome, appreciate if you could shed some light on this. Also, after the ROM, will she be given a DP to continue her stay in SG or does it have an expiry date? Can she work with DP or she'd need a LOC too? Thanks

Hi Vin, We can’t comment much about the marriage consent as it’s at MOM’s discretion, and we do not have the complete information about you or your wife for us to advise you appropriately on the chances or duration. If you managed to ROM successfully, she could continue to stay in SG as WP. There’ll be no change to her work pass just because she married. Assuming you are on Spass/EP and earn above S$6K, you can inform your company that you want to sponsor her a DP, provided she no longer wants to be on WP. If you are a Singaporean or Singapore PR, you can apply LTVP for her from ICA. Otherwise, if you and your wife are going to move overseas soon, you can save yourself the hassle of applying for a new pass for her, and she can stay in SG on WP till you move (that said, she will have to quit her job and her employer will cancel her WP).

In which case it's better for her to have the LTVP I suppose? As I'm a PR, I'm unable to do the PMLA, guest I just have to wait 6 weeks for the process. ​@@vinshan3411 The LTVP is usually only valid for a year. We suggest that you consider sponsoring your spouse for LTVP once you have plans to return to SG. Otherwise, she can enter SG as a tourist on a short-term visit pass whenever you visit SG.

Hi Rasheed, Singapore LTVP holders are not allowed to work if they do not have a valid work visa. If so, you will first need to get a job and request your employer apply for the Letter of Consent (LOC). We are not able to assist you in finding a job in Singapore. We wish you the best, Rasheed!

Hi Nur, Since you are above 21 years old now, both your mother and stepfather cannot sponsor LTVP for you. You can find a job here and have your employer sponsor you with a work pass to work and stay in Singapore.
