You're unlikely to get a response over the phone; instead, the officer most likely will ask the caller to write in with their question. ICA usually will take some time to process each application. We will recommend you to write in after your wait is more than 8 weeks.

What are the benefits in getting LTVP visa when compared to ordinary visa which is also for one year n stay for one month and extended for next two months

Hi Muralidhar, Singapore's entry visa's validity is 63 days from the date of issue. The duration of each stay in Singapore cannot exceed 30 days. The LTVP is valid for up to 2 years and can be renewed. LTVP holders are also allowed to work in Singapore, provided they get a Letter of Consent (LOC). i"m being singapore PR and applied LTVP for my mom, it still keep rejecting although i have stable income, alot saving money and own HDB. I do not know ICA what are hidden requirement for LTVP.

Hi Thein, LTVP application is usually straightforward. From what you shared, getting approval for your mom should not be a problem (unless a criminal record was causing the rejection). Could there be a problem with the documents submitted? To apply for a Long-Term Visit Pass application for your mom, prepare your mom's particulars and a copy of your birth certificate with proof of your mom's name. Other documents like vaccination records and translated documents (for non-English documents) would also be needed. Complete the LTVP application form on ICA's e-service portal with the correct details! Hi, The processing time depends. It can take days, but in some cases, it can take weeks. It depends on how long ICA takes to verify your documents. Hope this helps!

Hi! The Letter of LTVP Eligibility (LLE) is only a green light for you to apply for LTVP. So, no, getting the LLE does NOT mean you can work in Singapore. Hope this clarifies!

Hi KuyaAllam, thanks for leaving us a comment! As an SPass holder, you may sponsor your spouse and children under 21 for a DP if you earn more than S$6,000 as your fixed monthly salary. You may sponsor LTVP for your parents or common-law spouse if your fixed monthly salary exceeds S$12,000. Hope this helps!

Hi there, The answer is No. The LTVP application is only valid for spouses, children, and aged parents. However, you can apply for a short-term visit pass for your brother (depending on their nationality). However, kindly note that STVP holders are not eligible to work in Singapore.

Hi Hakeem, Firstly, congratulations! Upon receiving the medical certificate/report, you are to make an appointment with ICA. You are required to bring all the mandatory documents to be verified by the ICA officer. They will provide a checklist of the documents they need from you in your In-Principal Approval (IPA) letter. Is LTVP the same as permanent resident?

Hi J, LTVP is not the same as Permanent Resident (PR). LTVP holders are allowed only up to 2 years of stay and are not allowed to work if they do not obtain a work permit, S pass, or any Singapore work visa. The PR status, on the other hand, does not expire. They should be concerned only when they leave Singapore with an expired Re-Entry Permit (REP). There are also more benefits as a PR, such as healthcare, housing and government subsidies.

Hi Rosdiana, Yes, they can. As long as the LTVP holder satisfies the Employment Pass (EP) requirements. The Singapore-registered company will be the one that helps the LTVP holder to apply for his or her EP. To know if you are eligible for EP, you can refer to MOM's page: www.mom.gov.sg/passes-and-permits/employment-pass/eligibility.

Cloe, ICA asking for extra documents is not rare. In fact, the sponsor's sources of income (like salary, investments, rent ... etc) should have been sent with the original application, since those are sort of considered core documents for ICA to properly review your application. It does not mean much at this stage, except that your application is being reviewed (obviously). Best of luck, we do hope you get a letter of approval soon!

Hi Carleen Rose Anthony, Processing time of an LTVP approval is on a case-by-case basis. Since your LTVP application is still pending, you can ask ICA to extend your visa.

You can look forward to planning your next steps: 1. Be sponsored by your Singaporean husband to be a Singapore PR. 2.
